Interesting though I have to be honest, this is really a safe answer. Just like you said, you were pretty young (emphasis on pretty) when you had your scene with Jake. We're you excited? Nervous? Feel you will regret it after? No shade to Jake but he's wayyy out of your league and the hate train I was seeing on some forums were pretty nasty towards him. It's really interesting how you look so happy doing it on camera but I want to know how you really feel during that time.

Jake was a sweetheart. He got a lot of hate but that's the nature of the internet. I always had fun with him and he treated me very well in kindness, hospitality, and fair pay. All genre's get their fair amount of hate on online forums. Jake had his niche and it pulled the hate from the people that weren't into it and it did very well with the people that were into it. Not much to be said beyond that.
I agree. Jake got a lot of crap and he didn’t deserve it. I honestly was always a bit attracted to Jake even when I was in my teens first looking at porn haha

Maybe for some. It didn't for me but I could just tell as soon as we started the scene he'd done some gay stuff before. It felt a lot more natural for me than it did for me in that first scene. I was nervous and he seemed like it was his 100th time doing it.

Dang, really challenging my memory here. I believe it was shot for my website which was under the umbrella of nextdoorstudios. Originally I was half owner of my site but nextdoorstudios was struggling to make it on their own in the early years and eventually got bought out by a company in Montreal so all of the websites we had got absorbed into that company and I had to make the choice of walking away or giving up my ownership. I wasn't in a position to run my site on my own at that time so I sold my half of the site and went under contract to continue to produce content for it. I got paid well and I also got to keep total creative control so ultimately it worked out pretty well. If I had been a bit more of a smart negotiator at that young age I may have been able to get some royalties or something but I was young and not that business savvy back then. That's typically how porn sites work and why you can sign up for a single subscription and get access to dozens of sites. The idea is basically to have enough different genre's to sell a subscription for that you can attract as many subscribers ad possible.
Now that you've told us the backstory, I think all of us fans would like to go back and rewatch that particular video, if you can give us any hints as to which one it is.

Sorry can't help you there. I did hundreds of scenes over the course of almost a decade and my career ended about 14 years ago. He only did a couple of scenes so I don't even recall what his stage name was.Now that you've told us the backstory, I think all of us fans would like to go back and rewatch that particular video, if you can give us any hints as to which one it is.

No, unfortunately that was part of the deal with the Montreal company that bought out the parent company my website was under. They didn't do royalties so it was a choice of continuing my site just getting paid per scene or do something different and I had already put a lot of work into building my brand and fanbase so I chose to give up my ownership and just keep working on my site. I was young and didn't have much business experience and solo internet porn sites were in their infancy when I got started so I don't think my site would have survived had I tried to go it alone. Best way to watch all my films is to subscribe to nextdoorstudios.com. My site doesn't add any new content since I retired but it's part of their stable of sites and probably the place to get the best quality versions of my scenes. Otherwise you could just do a search for tommydxxx and you can find plenty of sites that have some of my stuff for free. Quality of video will vary but like I've said before we weren't exactly filming with top end technology back then so you kind of get what you get, lol.

I got paid very well compared to the "Professionals" My buddy Nash Lawler/Kenny" worked mostly on that side of the industry and he'd spend 10-16 hours on set shooting a single scene for a similar amount to what I made per scene and if I was on set for more than 3 or 4 hours that was a rarity. On a good day with a good partner/s we'd do makeup, stills and shoot the scene in just a couple hours. It was a good combination of me having complete creative control and my close rapore with my camera crew so we could flow seamlessly throughout the scene as opposed to needing to stop and reset or reshoot things. I had a reputation for very often being able to shoot an entire scene without a cut which was something I took a lot of pride in. I liken it to a great dancer who knew how to lead even the most inexperienced partner and make it look like they'd done it 100 times before. Obviously all scenes got cut in editing but those days when we could roll camera and then cut right at the last cum shot were so cool. I always felt like those were the best scenes because the chemistry was working and everyone was in the moment and feeling the vibe of the scene.
OK- my favorite scene was in the "Best of Tommy D" DVD. It started as a threesome with a guy named Billy and a dark haired guy named Douglas aka "Jett Allen". But the later part of the scene it was you and Douglas: you were jerking off while he sucked you nipple: you came and he swallowed! What a lucky guy. Do you have memories of that scenes and what was Douglas/Jet like?

Oh what a trip down memory lane, actually had to look that one up. So that was shot back in Toronto during the summer of 2005. That was just prior to me launching my own site. Douglas was a bartender in a suburb there and I went and hung out at his bar while he worked. We both ended up hooking up with a girl that night and when I called him the next morning to have him pick me up the girl he hooked up with happened to live just about a street away. Funny chain of events. Douglas was a very nice guy and we got a long very well. That good old Canadian hospitality
