In addition to suggestions above get a lube injector and lube yourself deeply. Twice.
Never a fan of poppers but a drink or two of alcohol helps partners loosen up. As I've gotten older I prefer sex to be alcohol and drug free.
I don't bottom much but if I know or expect I'm going to I stretch out my boyhole with butt plugs in advance so my top can get into me without much delay.

IMO, being proactive and being an active part of the action is the way to go with any top, moreso with really hung guys.
In bed (or elsewhere), I'm not into poppers, alcohol, PnP, numbing lotions (i.e. clove oil), etc. Being in control allows you to relax more and not fear what's happening. @DancerBottom Yea. It is an old timer's cure for a tooth ache too. I have some clove oil and have used it for various things. Let me know if you do use it for lube. At least things down there would smell really nice... (if conditions were right). Best!
Anything numbing is a bad idea when it comes to sex, unless you cum in 10 seconds and use it to numb your glans. Pain is the body's signalling mechanism and it's pretty important to work with it, not against it.
The only positive use of numbing I've seen is for deepthroaters to use some chloraseptic spray to suppress the gag reflex, although there are other tricks. See Don’t give up on gaggers for some ideas.
