I hope that works out well. Personally, I think part of the success of it is that they have been pretty much all unknowns... I worry that celebs would come into it and ruin some of the realness, as they will inevitably come in with their notoriety, reputations, things to plug, attempts at redemption or boosting their profile etc etc. I like watching normal people just play the game.

Yeah I’m cautiously optimistic for the US version but I don’t think it will be as good due to the “celebs.”

The magic of both the UK and Aussie versions was the fact that it was normal everyday people playing this crazy game.

Also, America seem INSISTENT on interfering with gameplay to create what (they think) makes better TV. Let's hope they leave the players to it.

You don’t think the BBC controlled the show?!? The shields I’m assuming were put in every box for particular players to be safe from murder (MADDY) and orchestrating the outcomes so storylines could come full circle (Alex and Matt). That’s why there’s producers. To drop ideas into contestants minds and make them think it’s their ideas.

The BBC is really strict on the levels of interference from producers when there's money available on the show. Every game show with prize money needs to have 'fair' and consistent rules that give everyone a chance to win or they aren't allowed a prize pool.

It's why things like the UK version of drag race has no money up for grabs because it's down to producers twisting storylines not actual merit.
