Hi, I’ve been sounding over 45 years and had a few Cystopscopies. Normally they use a lidocaine gel to numb your urethra, either by coating the scope or injecting it into your urethra a few minutes before the procedure. The burning sensation is a normal side effect and should subside after a few hours or a day at most.
My first experience with a cystoscopy was in my twenties, I had been injured in an accident, so they wanted to see if any injuries to my bladder had occurred. So I’m laying on the table, totally nude, Drs nurses etc checking me over, I was a bit uncomfortable, I asked the Dr if I could be covered some, he said “if we can’t see you, we can’t examine, diagnose or treat you”. Then he ordered the cystoscope,, so the urologist comes in, a female with a male nurse, talks to me about it, the nurse injects the numbing gel in my urethra, the urologist holds my penis, inserting the scope, watching the monitor, telling me what she is seeing, I feel myself getting aroused. She stops and says it’s ok, it happens, just relax, so here I am, totally nude semi erect, a female Dr holding my penis with a camera in it, a room of other Drs, nurses etc. She waited a few minutes, then continued. She got into my bladder, looked around, said she was going to inflate it with air to check for any injuries, then looked around it again. Then she removed the air and filled it with water, again looking around, saying she was going to leave it full a minute to look for any bleeding. She talked to other Drs while waiting, saying everything was fine, I probably had some bruising from the impact. She removed the water, pulling the the scope out slowly, I became full erect once the scope was out with her holding my penis. She said I was nicely developed, that the nurse would clean me up, and make a follow up appointment in a few weeks. The male nurse cleaned up, gave me an appointment card for the follow up.
A few weeks later, at the follow up appointment, the male nurse took me to the exam room, did the usual triage, said to undress except my socks, put on the gown and sit on the table. The urologist came in, did a thorough visual exam, said everything looks good, the nurse would collect a urine and semen sample and left. The nurse gave me a cup, said fill it to the blue line, then have a seat on the table again. He asked if I had done a semen sample before, I had not, he explained how to do it, asking if I wanted stimulation material or assistance. I wasn’t sure but said yes. He opened a closet, pulled out a cart with a vcr, Tv, video tapes, and porn magazines. He asked if I had a preference in stimulation material, showing me several different tapes, magazines etc. Nothing hard core, just playboy, penthouse, type magazines, videos of just guys, couples, etc. He explained how to provide the sample properly, then put on gloves, washed my penis and testicles with betadine, had me put on gloves, saying not to let my glans or tip touch anything until finished, no lube. He said take my time, he would check back in a little while or I could push the call button if I finished before he got back, then left. I tried, but didn’t get erect, semi at best watching the videos, looking at the magazines, actually made my penis sore trying to. He came back after a while, knocking, then came in, asked how’s it going, then said oh, having trouble?
I was a bit embarrassed, but he was really cool, and a good looking guy. He asked if I wanted help, putting on gloves, I agreed, telling him I had never had trouble before. He stroked me, which helped, but I didn’t become full erect, which turned out to be some nerve and blood vessel injury from the accident. He did get me to ejaculate, which also had issues from injuries. A long story, but after several months and appointments, everything was back to normal, functioning as desired. We became friends, hanging out together, eventually learning he was Bi, lived in the same neighborhood I did. After recovering we started playing, and he introduced me to sounding and urethral pleasure. Which is another story.
