Apparently the big blockbuster announcement is there will be mega-penis, or at least a Dr. Manhattan CGI equivalent. The Newsweek review mentions a scene with his cock flopping around, so I imagined he was moving when they showed it. The reviewer was dismissive about it. Apparently he believes the director was aware he was failing to do the graphic novel justice and added scenes like that to fetch some headlines.

I have to give the original artists credit. I always thought it was funny that superheroes would go through ordeals that would seriously test their clothing and yet they're always uncovered. The Hulk movies are a prime example. OK the fabric stretches, but Eric Bana should be naked when he returns to normal size. His clothing would be useless. Same with Chris Evans in Fantastic Four. At least the classic artists like Bill Griffith or R. Crumb were never shy about showing proper equipment when the occasion warranted.

I'm a huge fan of Watchmen, I will be seeing it later on today.

I gotta say, if you're going to watch a movie based on the fact that there is a few shots of a penis, why dont you just watch porn instead? You can see all sorts of penis' then, without the need of a storyline etc. Best of all, you can see them online for free, saving the price of a ticket! If you want them blue, then you'll have to get busy with photoshop.

Oh and just to be a total nerd - Dr Manhattan isn't naked throughout the whole movie, he works various degrees of clothing but he is naked in parts as clothes are a "human trait".
