What book are you currently reading?

I'm reading a fantasy called "Falconsaga" by Robert Winter. In Iceland the Norns have warned of an attack by sorcerers that threaten the country. Magnus, an elf, has been named to protect the human population, especially one he finds himself attracted to.

I'm reading "Mona of the Manor" - volume 10 in Armistead Maupin's "Tales of the City" series.
I know it's set in England and it focuses on Mona, but do Michael and Thack (Michael's then boyfriend) appear or are they mentioned?

Quran (not the whole book)

Considering that young boys will serve in paradise, it's not bad. :)

[The phrase "wildān mukhalladūn" (وِلْدَانٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ) occurs several times in the Quran (56:17-18) and refers to the young servants in Paradise. ]

Rereading Bulgakov's breath-taking, brilliant The Master & Margarita which I may have mentioned here before.
Saw Penguin Clothbound are putting out an edition of Poe's House of Usher and others edited by Peter Ackroyd this year!
Ooooh I really wanna read The Master & Margarita as well!

Bought (I have them now) 2 Armistead Maupin books yesterday.

Sure of You (the original ending of the Tales of the City series).

The Days of Anna Madrigal (the current ending of the Tales of the City series).

Sure of You

At that time, in SOU, it was a bittersweet ending about Michael. He had a boyfriend (Thack) but the likelihood of Michael's HIV becoming AIDS was one of the reasons Maupin ended the series (then).

Thack left Michael before Michael Tolliver Lives.

Thack's fiery personality and knowing Michael would remain HIV positive (only) meant he didn't have to care about/for Michael because drugs were stopping Michael's HIV becoming AIDS. So they broke up.

Note: I knew about Maupin's works (years ago) but I thought re-visiting the characters could be interesting.

reading "Goodbye to Berlin" by Christopher Isherwood. The book is the basis for the musical & film Cabaret. Gay country singer Orville Peck has received rave reviews for his performance as the emcee in the current revival Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club now on Broadway.

Yes it's teen fiction and I LOVE IT!!
I missed Harry Potter when it was first published and was a big thing. So I thought I'd get into this as it's supposed to be the next hit waiting to happen.

The series is about bloodthirsty unicorns, riders, a unicorn island and a lot of shenanigans. It's a rip off of HP in many ways but I don't care. Read it!
Never heard of it and I still read and enjoy HP and I'm 28
