Chrome ownz,
but whenever I choose to boot my computer in Ubuntu instead of Windows I go with Firefox because of its useful addons-- mainly firebug so that I can debugg javascript crap and whatnot.

Nice, although I think JavaScript should burn in a fire. All of it. I hate that shit on Android and I hate it everywhere else... but it works, so not much I can do about it.

Chrome. Lighter and faster.

I am currently having a "software as a service" website built for me and I have to test it and report bugs and such to the developers. Therefore I have to use these other browsers. Explorer is still the slowest and the most bugs seem to occur using it. Like a "Save" button works fine in Safari, FF and Chrome, but doesn't function at all in Explorer. (??) I don't get it.

For me FF is bloated with extensions and stuff and Safari lacks some of the ease of use features that chrome has. Plus my Mac doesn't use a two button mouse. Which kinda sucks when you are used to one.

Chrome. Yes, it's fast. Yes, it feels lightweight... but it's not. Chrome is a HUGE RAM hog. I can routinely get Chrome up over 6-7GB of RAM usage while doing what I do daily.

Also, Chrome and Safari are both WebKit based browsers. Firefox is Gecko based. And IE is IE based. Microsoft uses their own framework for IE, and that's why it's so radically different in how it renders things (or rather doesn't render, in your case). WebKit and Gecko render most things pretty much the same, but IE doesn't.
