Anyone have any recommendations on a must see show in Las Vegas? I think I'll be there in September and was interested in maybe seeing "O" but really don't have any clue on what is good. I know there are a few Cirque du Soleil shows. Advice?

If you have any interest at all in magic, see Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo. He's not all weird like Copperfield or Sigfried, and he's a better magician. He doesn't rely on ridiculous illusions and sets - his best stuff is close up magic.

I've never been to Vegas so I can't recommend a show BUT I can warn others about cruising in the casinos. I did not get arrested however now that I think about it, I could have been stopped and questioned.

I was in one of the Tunica (MS) casinos and had spent all the quarters in the slots I allocated for the night. So I was enjoying the scenery and spotted this gorgeous dude in blue jeans and cowboy hat with one of the biggest bulges I had ever seen. I guess you might say I sorta followed him around for about 30 minutes until he met up with friends at the front door and left.

That night, I got to thinking about all those security cameras they have all over the place. I'm sure the operators watching for suspicious activity and cheating at the tables must have seen me just walking around and stopping everytime the dude did. Not that I was doing anything illegal but if they can zoom in on card faces and chips, they are pretty observant.

A near- killer show was Siegfried and Roy

go see O and spend the money to sit in the 1st 3 rows. was amazing, also if you can afford it have dinner at michael minna's resturaunt int he belagio, same place as O and amazing food.

I really enjoyed Cirque de Soleil's "Zumanity" show at New York, New York Casino. It's a cabaret/acrobatics hybrid with super sexy people wearing almost nothing. Most of the women are topless and most of the men strip down to thongs (tho minimal, they have AMAZING costumes & bodies). Sitting towards the front in the middle section is recommended. Don't sit too close because the stage is elevated about 5 feet and anything to the sides misses out on some of the special effects. Go with someone close if you can because I saw it alone and left the show not only entertained but a little horny and sexually frustrated  So far I've recommended the show to two friends on separate occasions and they loved it. Another advantage is that the tickets are cheaper and easier to get than "O." If you see the show tell me how you liked it.

umm.....food for thought ..thanks for putting that out there

Mystere was once good but is really considered dated and worn. Danny Ganz is entertaining but WAY over priced for what it is.

If you want to see a classic Vegas show go to Bailey's Jubelee. If you want to see something modern I would see either Le Reve (The Wynn) or Zumanity (NY NY). If you want to see a play...see Spamalot. If you want to see free stuff on the strip...watch the fountains in front of the Belagio and parade in the sky show at The Rio.

Las Vegas lives! Thread brought back from extinction. Yay.

Is Zumanity more of a sex tease type of show or more near nude people doing the Cirque du Soleil thing? Juggling, prancing, dancing, acrobatics?

Danny Ganz has a great show!

Is Danny Ganz a magician? Where is he playing?

How is that jousting match at the Excalibur? Anyone seen that? Are there men who go the the Chippendale shows?

Cirque.... "O"

My jaw hit the floor from the moment it started until I left. Then had dinner overlooking the fountains on the patio of Olives. My vote goes to "O" for sure.

Um, it's kinda hard to explain but it's sorta both. There's a homepage with a teaser/trailer; it doesn't do the show justice though because the sexual tension builds up on stage with each act. The costumes were designed by Thierry Mugler and are very theatrical. Here's more info with a link to the homepage: Zumanity - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Zumanity is like erotica and Vaudiville mixed together. I have watched it twice. You have individual acts that perform but you also have some running comic character gags that move throughout the show. The theatre is not large so even the cheaper seat will be good. Though I always love bottom floor center for any show.
