I'm just curious how many here have tattoos....

Which was your first.....


Last Friday (Sept 8th) I got, as my first tattoo, a lower back one.
A jaguar resting on a branch.
One forearm hanging straight down almost to the middle of my ass cheek....one small drop of blood tattood (sp?) under one of his claws.
His tail drops down a little further on the other ass cheek.

Greenery (leaves) around the cat for background color.

I live a little over 3 hours from where I got it so I wanted it done in one session.
4 hours and 15 minutes.
Only the last 20 or 25 minutes were noticeably worse.....

I'm adding a hot pink/coral flower to it shortly after it's healed.

Yar, me nar like thar tartahrs. Yi likes thar clean and subtle barday pahrs. Althar, yi harv nar prahbrlums with thar smahl 50x50 pixal tahrtarhs on gars, yid, nevar gart one meself... arrrrrr....

Here are mine the one on my left arm is based on a highschool photo of my wife.I had that done on our tenth anniversary and it was the first.Both arm pieces took about 3.5 hours each and the back about 8 hours.

Tattoos can be enjoyable if they have a purpose. There is too many people who just get tattoos to be "cool", cough* Justin Timberlake *cough.

Unless the tattoo has some sort of symbolic meaning in your life, I really don't see a point.

I agree mine all have deep personal meaning for me.Thats why they are all one off designs.I waited till my 30's to start,I wanted them to mean something and it took some time to figure out what I'd be willing to die with.

For my one tattoo, it is a chinese character that is a decriptive word refering to me. If I get another one, it will mean fire.:biggrin1:
