I don't think there is an actual reason for the skin being darker on some white males' dicks. I have read online before that it is because the skin is more resilliant (rather like the skin on your elbow etc) therefor it is coloured differently.

I think the most likely reason is that some dicks are just darker, no real reason - they just are.

Mine always looks well-tanned (even though it isn't!), compared to the surrounding area. I've often wondered why, as well.

Always interesting where a lad's been circumcised and has a two-tone cock, with the contrast between the darker skin and the inner foreskin. Then again, on some lads the join is almost invisible.

Mine's like this, especially when I'm really hard. It can be quite noticeable in artificial light which can make me a bit self concious - but tell the truth no-one's ever commented on it to me.

It's just one of those things.

I've noticed this in some relatively dark skinned men too : the cock's skin is darker still than the rest of the body. I notice this particularly in nude beaches, where the whole body is suntanned - the cock is more suntanned still.

I'm blondish and quite pale down there... My experience tells me that both blond men and women have a combination of pale and reddish genitals. Most blond guys balls are slightly red or pink. As for dark haired men and women, they're usually brown/tanned down there, speacially the balls and the outter labia.

:)

I think it might have something to do with how much skin is down there. There has to be enough skin to cover the entire erection and still strewtch a little. Therefore, more skin equals more color. This is similar to why some peoples elbows or finger knuckles are slightly darker.

So would I.

I just remember this guy from school. He was white, with dark hair, but his cock and balls were black. I was fascinated by him from the first time I saw him.

Good question, but mine isn't...

?? Piet, look again at the first photo in your gallery, "waking up." compare the color of your cock to your untanned skin nearby. Your cock's a lot browner than that skin is.

It has to be two things. There is more skin there like bassoon said. Second, the skin type is different, since it's very elastic. Not true for skin elsewhere, which develops stretch marks, ie scars when it expands too much. Guys' cocks and balls are always darker than the nearby skin, even on the darkest guys. That skin has to expand and contract constantly, without any damage.

The less pigment you have in your skin generally, the more translucent it becomes. That means you can see the blood vessels more easily, making skin itself look more pink than pigment colored. 30,000 years ago, infants and adults in colder climates would have been able to absorb vitamin D more easily when they were bundled up if those small parts of skin (faces, hands) had less pigment, and were lighter rather than darker. So survival rates improved up north for those with less pigment. This is why migrating african tribes gradually lost their original skin color living over long periods in less hospitable climates. People probably thought there was something magical going on if a lighter skinned infant survived, and a darker one did not. But it was just vitamin D.
