I have two white friends who I hang out with regularly. When me the guy kick people never seem to mind or care that me and him are picking up chicks at bar or just going to gamestop and buying shit. However when its just me and my female friend we always get dirty looks.

For instance, we were at chili's with some friends and i left to for the bathroom. On my room back to the group this black chick asked me why dont i like sister's. I ignored her and she called me a sellout.

Anyway why is it ok for a black guynd white guy to be cool but so taboo when its a male and female hanging or dating?

Some of the most racist people i have ever met have been African American. that girls comment is the reason this why racism is still out there today. Why would you call yourself a "sista?" or get mad because two different people are together?

One of the best lovers I ever had was form Trinidad. He was educated in England and was the sweetest guy ever. and me I'm a white boy from lower Manhattan.

Why can't people be glad that you are happy being with people you care about?

Just say to people like this "I'm sorry for your loss".

Hatred and resentment come when people feel they have lost something, or are facing some kind of threat, or alienation.

I'm in a mixed-race gay relationship. Even gay people can sometimes be strange about that. And even black people.

None of it makes ANY sense, because the rational part of the brain is not involved. It's just the amygdala.

I'm a mixed guy here in Texas, aka racism central, and just want to throw out that I support you.

Be yourself and don't let them get to you.

Mixed couples (and mixed gay couples with babies) are the CUTEST fucking thing I've ever seen.

...except for that wolf that was playing with that baby bear on tumblr.

I have had a similar situation.I am white and my youngest son who I adopted mixed race.
Black/white.When we are together people stare, talk behind our backs,or just stand there with there mouths open.Americans are racist and ignorant.Whe we travel outside the US to Canada,England we are teated with respect,no staring,no comments,no open mouths.I am proud of my son and all he has accomplished.
He has left the US and works and resides in Asia and only comes to US once a year to
visit.
So,here is the question:Here it is 2013 and we are still a racist divide country, what is the problems that make americans act like this?
Are we not a nation of great diverse peoples and cultures who came here to have freedom, equality, safety from prejudices because or race, creed etc ?

The problem with racism and America specifically, is the history. America's racial relations history is very unique. No other country in the world has been through what America has regarding race. People often say things like "it's 20whatever and people are still like this?" but they don't realize that it's something much deeper with roots that go back 100s of years.
Most of the racist concepts/slurs/practices were spawned specifically in America and have become infused into its culture. Since America has such a strong influence in the world, these ideas eventually leaked into different cultures around the world. When racist ideas and practices are passed down from several generations it's hard to just ignore, especially in areas that are still in the grips of their effects (especially in the south). It's going to take awhile to completely eradicate it, and I doubt if it will ever happen, for the simple fact that people have a hard time letting go of something they don't even realize they are holding on to.

I'm Black and I'll break it down to you. I don't think anyone has hit the nail on the head yet. There is a notion that there is a shortage of good Black men out there among the Black women. What happens is that when a sister, especially a single sister sees a Black man with a White woman they feel that it is their loss.

There are many problems with their theory though. First, how do they know that you or any Black guy who is with a White woman is a good guy? Second, how do they know that they would be attracted to you or any other Black guy whether they are with a White woman or a Black woman.

The other problem with the sister who approached you is she made a faulty assumption. How does she know you don't like sisters? Just because you are out with a White woman does not mean you don't like sisters.

What needs to happen is that we all should look at each other as people rather than races or color. I understand their frustration with being single, but most people would not want to date someone who has a nasty attitude like that.

I go out and I see attractive Black women with a White guy and I don't get upset and I'm single. Now I might react the same as any guy who sees an attractive woman with a guy no matter what her race is.

People have been pre-conditioned due to racism. When I'm out and see an interracial couple, especially Black and White they tend to look the other way. The reason is that they are so used to be hassled by others that it is easier to look away than deal with the expected nasty looks and comments. That is so sad.

So I'm with you and understand. Hang in there and continue to ignore the rude ones. One day it will be interesting when someone who makes a comment like the sister did to you and a Black couple denounces her. I denounce racism in all funds.

Take care.

Really good answer!

People say stupid things. I'm mixed race. I was standing in line at a pharmacy with my best friend at the time, who happens to be albino. A lady walked up to us and says, "the two of you don't look anything alike!"

Duh! Stupid people.

To some extent but I think it goes deeper than that.
