Why Not Verify

hey just a quick question...

if you are on the site and posting pictures why wouldn't you get your profile verified? I'm particularly thinking of women who seem to have been on here for years and who post pics and have gold membership but aren't verified...Like, are they paying for their membership? Why not just verify and get it for free?

Makes me wonder if some people are who they say they are.... Fairly rare to find verified female profiles here...

Old rules said if you posted a certain number of times/frequency, you could get gold without verifying/paying.

I see no benefit to verifying... and the detriment would be random men contacting me because I’m verified female. Anytime I posted a picture, it led to several random messages of “hey” or “wanna skype/kik/Cam?” from people with whom I’ve had no interaction. Yawn.

Way back in the day Gold Membership could be attained by taking a photo with LPSG in it, the photo did not have to be nude, just a photo that could tell you were a M / F , with a sign or some other kind of writing. The site evolved, and the rule changed, you had to include a degree of nudity to the picture / sign to become verified. I lived in the chat room, once upon a time and at times was on cam with less than a full set of clothing. Soooo, I said trust me I am a male, there are a few dozen members who can attest that I have a penis ha ha


I think my second Gold Status came from my posting history, as I once posted a lot / daily

I pay at least now, to help support the site, so I am Gold - Platinum .

Sorry to hear about harassement and abuse women have suffered here.

I can well understand not having any photos visible and wanting to maintain privacy. To be clear I was talking about people with gold memberships who do have plenty of photos visible but no verification photo, but as you've pointed out if they've been here a long time it's possible that they may have obtained their gold status by other means. And perhaps being verified attracts unwanted attention.

On a previous site I swapped profiles with a (woman) friend for one night, "sex change lite" if you will. And it was an eye-opener! As you say, the endless ranks of single, monosyllabic males throwing themselves at you like salmon up the stream becomes most off-putting very quickly.

That site had ways to control who could contact you and how but it never stopped the men trying.
