I will give him credit for actually being good in a variety of different porn. He’s maybe the only dude to do a lot of homo, hetero, bi, trans, kink porn and come off comfortable, convincing, passionate and verse in all of it.
He did spend almost a decade doing mostly homo porn yet spent all that time constantly talking about how he wasn’t that into dudes. Then he clearly tried to get into conventional “straight” porn. That didn’t work out. So, he started pushing his bi/queer “pride” and using that as a way to market himself.
I understand that everyone has their own journey when it comes to sexuality, experiences, preferences, understanding the gender, sexual, affection, romantic, emotion, relationship, commitment spectrum. I understand a lot of people (especially in sex work) experience traumas, fluidity, contradictions, hyper-sexuality, insecurities, resentments. And I know that porn is just as business at the end of the day. But he definitely comes off like someone who publicly embraced his queer-dom and started hyping his “bi pride” mostly out of convenience and for monetary reasons.
If he actually got a foothold in “mainstream” hetero porn, there’s a pretty good chance all this “bi pride” and “king of ‘queer’ porn” shit would have never happened. There’s already a lot of those sellout guys who will do and say whatever for ego and money and are perfectly willing to throw “gays” under the bus because they can’t maturely deal with their fluidity, confusions, insecurities, past traumas.
