The kind of relationship that actually would make me want to be in one.So, my fella has been working out again and we stopped drinking awhile back. I didn't want to not him and his best friend both had doctors telling them to knock it off already so he told me it's shitty but he has to and if I don't quit with him it won't be a healthy relationship. So obviously, I knocked it off with him.
Anyway, he's been feeling and looking so much better. I literally have never looked at him and found him unattractive whatsoever, but I do notice a difference in his physique and I'm definitely expressing the fact that it's a visible difference. He smiled so genuinely when I told him I see his efforts paying off and it made me feel fucking wonderful
I've been more active lately as well (new job, way active) and my legs are sore as fuck but I'm loving it. As I start the second half of my life I'm definitely making it a goal to keep my range of movement and stamina as strong and capable as I can.

We're having our share of working wannabees, too. We promise a salary - they promise work, but only one side is holding up their end of the bargain. And weirdly enough, it's the one with the checkbook.Back from another day at the new hell job.
I love the workout I get. I fuckin hate the attitude all those fuckers have about having to actually earn their own paychecks. Not to be/sound ageist, but I have to vent that being the only one over 30 (40 is less than 3 years away for me) and going from my literal dream job to what I'm stuck with now under the circumstances which brought the change about... I'm 'bout ready to say something and end up in the office for making a bunch of teammates catch feelings
Anyway, could be worse. But it still bugs the shit outta me.

It's the same here. The Western world is suffering a severe skills shortage. Ask any skilled tradesperson on a building site why that is. Everyone knew a tradesperson at one time. My friends in those years had apprenticeships ranging from Pastry Chefs, Mechanics, Plumbers, Concreters, Chippies, Brickies, Sparkies....Now ask a person how many they know....It's the same with Hairdressers, Teachers, Nurses...
That alone is enough to send the stress metre into the red.
It's the push, over the last few decades for everyone go get a university degree vs a community college trade certificate. White collar vs blue collar, the prestige.It's the same here. We allowed and trusted politicians to care for our future. AI will never be able to renovate your home, navigate mud and slush, clear blocked shit in a pipe, connect your power or repair wiring, tolerate heat of the sun or freezing winds, trenches and scaffolding, steep slopes....or dealing with changes and clients + the hundreds more issues that arise on a single day..let alone the last minute cancellations of concrete orders due to rain or inclemment weather

Early life experiences sort of guide you along the way, we all have a bit of either your an outside or inside person, or have had influences, or early experiences with hand tools in creating something, build karts, cubbies shit like that. Most kids when I was one spent there time in creeks, paddocks, racing down hills in gokarts you made at home...then later on fishing, exploring and shit.

That's the sort of stuff that leads you into trades, because trades depend heavily on motor skills, balance heights etc. How many kids do you see playing in creeks today, paddocks, building stuff with drills, saws etc. What it also leads to is an interest and a care for the environment, nature, wildlife when you walk through natural bush and waterways.
