But then a girl joined room. I have shared only with guys so I thought it was a make only dorm but turns out I did actually book a mixed dorm and I guess up until tonight it was only guys on the dorm by coincidence!

Too bad, I thought they had seperated rooms only - no mixed. When I was there I definetely stayed in a male room.

I’ll be staying at an all male dorm this week and it looks like there will be lots of South Koreans and Chinese people around. I hope they won’t be as shy as your 2 male roomies. But if they are I will definitely try to break the ice !

I found the Asian guys dress up for bed, get changed in the showers or toilet cubicles and have rhayrhay privacy curtain on the beds closed all the time.

That's their choice I guess! Anyway, my trip is over. Porto is a nice place, I got no action in the hostel whatsoever, all I saw was one older guy nude in the shower changing area. His balls were unbelievably huge. I've never seen anything quite like it.

No more trips this year for me. Hoping to do some hostelling in the new year. I'm getting a bit older though. The age gap is definitely starting to show between me and the average backpacker. Of course backpacking and hostelling are timeless, but being able to share a room with students is probably nearly over for me and I don't wanna be that creepy old man they don't wanna get changed Infront of!

I'll be in Thailand for a month with no definite plans, anyone have some ideas of where to go with fun hostels? In Bangkok I'm between chao (male rooms) and bed station. Seems like chao now has curtains but so does bed station. Suggestions for Chiang Mai or anywhere else in the area?

Anyone have any suggestions? Also I'm a young Asian guy from the states but enjoy getting naked. Japanese and Korean guys usually don't care either because it's in the bathing culture to get naked in front of one another as long as it's all guys.

I've had fun at a few hostels in Europe, to name a few in Porto it was Bluesock. Lisbon - Surf, Prague - Ananas, Berlin -180, Maverick.

I stayed at the Limanaki, which is a 10 minute walk from that beach where I spent most of my week. Great place. The food is great as well. Wish I was there right now.

Great hostel! I’ve stayed there is the 6 bed male dorm with en-suite. Was warm in October and hot in dorm so naked sleeping... not sure about current temps.
