Depending on where you're from, this is either very obvious or very strange, so I'll assume the latter. It's an old joke, which primarily deals with men talking about women. Let's say the woman has the most perfectly curvy body and a group of men agree. However, they're not so impressed with her facial features, so they keep saying "...but her face..". It gets shortened to people saying someone with a great body but not so appealing face is a "butterface". It's a little dated and admittedly, though still used to describe men now, doesn't make as much sense. "butthisface" doesn't have the same ring to it. Anyway, there you go.

I probably should have clarified, I don't see anything wrong with his face myself. Just explaining the use of the term. In this case, I don't agree with it. Zane could have his way with me.
