Younger people obviously look better but porn is about attractiveness and desirability, You would not take an ugly 19 year old over a very sex 30 year old just because the 19 is 'younger', it's based off of how you look and how you can perform.
The reason why the industry (and many other superficial industries) favour the young is because younger people generally tend to look better than older people, because looks fade as you age, it's not just for the sole fact that they are young. There are many young people who are not sexy or attractive at all.
I will say it again, 29 is not "old" by any means especially if you keep in shape and take care of yourself very well, you can still look very desirable sexy well into your 30s, people will cast you because of how you look, they won't ask (oh btw are you 29,,, off too old sorry) that's just silly. Jamie Dornan (50 shades of Grey actor) is 41 years old, Michael Morrone (365 days actor) is 34, these guys are regarded as one of the sexiest men alive today, just like Bradd pitt and goergoe clooney were, well into their 40s, so please this insecurity about 29 being old is indeed an insecurity of yours & perhaps Just because your looks faded or you aged out of the industry pretty quickly does not mean it will be the same for others, and the person who you are talking about (Ray) still looks fucking good at 29 and I bet he still has a good 5 - 10 years left in him if he takes good care of himself.
