I've unfortunately have a unique ability in the fact that my moods really affect those of the people around me. It's most noticeable at work, where if I'm having a bad day, it'll spread like wildfire. The bad thing though is that when I'm in a bad mood, I become withdrawn. I intentionally become distant so that my mood does not bring anyone else down using what I've learned about people's prior reactions. I really don't know how to change this however. I've tried the positivity/optimism approach but somedays it is overpowered. Any ideas from the peanut gallery on how to improve my mood or downplay when I'm in a bad mood so that it doesn't spread?
