since its been awhile, i figured it was time for an update.
i was able to leave michigan, leave knowing my cottage was rented to the former neighbor lady and that it would be well cared for. WHAT a relief.
i stopped off to spend a couple of days with my 12 year old niece which was absolutely awesome. we played lawn tennis, rode bikes, downloaded tons of i-tunes and just spent the happiest, most wonderful quality time imaginable and that made me very happy.
then i was off to visit calambo at his boat. the weather was perfect for diving and swimming, eating and drinking, hitting up a few marinas - more eating, drinking and dancing and just all around a fantastic time. calambo is the host with most. oh yeah - also nice to be able to sunbathe nude on the upper deck of his boat. his wife made a point to walk by several times to help herself to the view and promptly called her friends to report what exactly was naked on her boat. lol. i understand the reports were complimentary. so thanks to calambo for his laid back hospitality.
after that i stopped off to see a couple more friends, one of which was a childhood friend that now lives in the french quarter in new orleans. i hadn't seen this friend in 21 years and it made me happy to have such a good friend. it was like we had only seen each other the week before for coffee.
having never been to new orleans before, i LOVED that town. did nothing but walk around the french quarter and ate and drank.
just before i left new orleans, my damned cell phone died so upond my return to texas had to spring for a new phone. at least my contacts were able to be saved. i am like Zoolander without my phone and i have no idea what anyones number is so that was a HUGE relief.
i had one day off to rest from the trip and then back to work. my accounts have been chomping at the bit to have me call on them, so i suppose that's nice to be wanted. and not at all difficult to to meet with women, flirt with them, go out to lunch or drinks and talk business, although after work talk is done, they just appreciate being listened to since their husbands apparently have stopped doing that. lol.
so all is well with goodwood and i am happy to be back in texas.
