501's...TIMELESS!!!!

For everyday work wear, it's Levis 505 cords - most comfortable jeans that I've ever worn.

I love a man in corduroy. It's so rare to see that it's an easy attention grabber. Something about that extra texture with the warmth of a man's thigh under it. Yum!

I went slightly mad one night out with my bf and some of his friends, one of whom was wearing wide wale cords. I was itching to stroke my hand over them but wasn't about to (my interest was in the pants, not the guy). My bf just gave me a weird look when I shouted over the loud music playing, "You're buying cords!"

Put me in the pro-501 group as well.

I just got back from Australia and it looks like tighter jeans are coming back in style overseas. And the guys looks great in them! Just my opinion, but I've always thought part of the reason younger guys wear the baggy look is that young str8 guys can't stand the thought of some other guy checking out their ass so they wear pants to hide the goods.

BTW: I just had my 30th high school reunion and, going through old photos, we had a good laugh with the 'what were we thinking' clothes. Young men: your day will come when you'll look back and just shake your heads as well.

Cords are great in general, yet Levis 505 fit better and look hotter than any that I've tried. They fit like real jeans. Rocky Mountain Connection Outdoor Clothing Rocky Mountain Connection, Levi's Jeans, North Face Jackets, Carhartt, Clarks offers Levis cords in 2 styles. I like the 505s - only available from RM. It's a custom arrangement that they have with Levis to have them specially produced every September. They sell for $40 per pair. Last year they offered tan, gray, dark blue, and black. They have some left from last season, but sizes are limited. By October, all sizes will be available from this year's production, but they go fast. The most popular sizes are usually gone by the end of Christmas.

Well, not everybody is squarely focused on how other people see them (or their asses, or bulges) - most of the time, I couldn't care less. I wear cargos because I always carry a bunch of stuff on me (wallet, key, MP3 player, weed, palm, etc) and I need lots of pockets. I also sweat like crazy, so wearing tight pants - even worse, tight jeans - in summer is out of the question.

Now, of course... I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the occasional jaw-dropping stare at my bulge from women when I wear that one pair of tight jeans that I have at home... but not all the time.

Ya know, I can respect your training in the fashion industry, however, what the fashion industry doesn't seem to understand is that there are many people out there that are not 20 something and like what they like, regardless of what EXPERTS say. So I say if a person likes 501's and they fit their body the way they should then go for it and don't get caught up in what is supposed to be "in fashion"! Most of today's fashion is absolutly rediculous! Just My Opinion!

Well...I have to give my two sense worth. I too love 501's.I would only change one thing. The tapered legs. I think if they were made with a straighter leg. More guys would wear them. Especially with all the great shoes out these day. A tapered pair of jeans would look funny with fashionable shoes. I remember back in the day you wore High tops, with the tongue sticking out and the bottom of your pant leg was tucked behind the tongue.
501's nothing better for those that like to show off their stuff.

Maybe 501's are different here, wetcoffee, because they're about the only jeans I wear and mine definitely don't sit at my navel. And if they have a tapered leg, it's very subtle...but I prefer the fitted look in general. I don't need the illusion of a straight-leg pant to balance my upper body.

Baggy jeans are on the way out anyway. If you look at the young hip kids, they are all wearing tight, long straight-legged pants. Just like my generation of high school and college kids were wearing low-rise bootcut or flare jeans and tighter tshirts that are now in style, these kids are wearing what the rest of us will be in 5-10 years. The baggy, boxer showing jeans thing went out of style in the 90s, some people just haven't noticed yet.

Also, Levis still makes shrink to fit.

Anyway, take heart, your 501s are stylish again (or will be soon)...

I myself perfer 501's .... Yes i'm older so what .... so is fine wine.....501's have a great film history as well TOM CRUISE wear them in his films the football player 1 can't remember the title just his girlfriend unbuttoning his 501's and seeing his package...WOW... also 501's were seen in many GAY films by Falcon....... that my friends was a perfect fit FALCON, S/F AND 501'S WITH GIANT COCKS...... Ahhh the good ole days.... better than baggy jeans and web cam porn....ok i'm getting off my stump now guys...

My big beef with Levi right now is that the company not too long ago discontinued my size -- 28 x 34 -- which I have worn for years, since I was in high school. I have resorted to having to buy them on ebay, typically used. How pathetic is that?

do you know why Levis would want to discontinue size 28 x34? have they totally gone mad? i see lots of slim guys around who are size 28w and even thinner, so what choices have they now got to find jeans that fit them? dont Levis like to see us guys waring our jeans "fitted"

im only 27x32 and so far after much searcing, i have found that slimfit Wrangler 20x fit best for me, and its one of the few brands that still make sizes down to 26 x 32! although i ware 27x32.

I dont know what "young hip kids" you've been hanging around, but not only is it not "hip" to refer to yourself as hip...but baggy jeans are NOT on the way out. They'll be around at least very much so. Urban style is comprised of the baggy jeans and loose fitting jeans. Even white surfers are starting to get into the "sagger" style which was borrowed from urban sagging.

nobody really wears tight jeans anymore. That is something that is generally liked by people born before 1979. This generation isn't necessarily concerned with highly cock and ass 24/7, so we wear baggy clothes. We are more about style, than "shrink to fit jeans" just to show our dicks. We're a bold generation. If we want to show our dicks, we just take em out.:biggrin1:

Most people would say "stylish" is synonymous with "sexy" - and there's nothing sexy about those awful baggy trousers!
Snoozan is correct.

Today's clothing market is so diverse that everyone can be saying something different and yet be correct to some degree. There are a few clothing mfrs that are showing a more form-fitting look in pants but it's by no means replaced the relaxed/loose/baggy mold, nor will it. At the rate American men (teen men included) are expanding in size, I don't think anyone would reeeeeeally want them, collectively, trying to cram back into something like 501's.

Rumors about style can come from anywhere. The suit mfrs and tailors who work on them began the rumor about 2 yrs ago that the suit was on its way back and biz casual wear on its way out. Welllllll, that really took hold, didn't it?

using the word "hip" was tongue in cheek. duh.

Urban style hasn't changed much in years, but that is one very specific style of dress that isn't in fashion for most of the people in the US, and definitely not in Europe. If you look around, even at your local mall, you'll see that slim fit, skinny fit, and straight leg jeans are beginning to show up in the mainstream stores. Shirts are being sold in "athletic fit" and "vintage fit," both of which are a tighter fit. When I look around and see the trendsetter types in the university town I live in, the guys are most definitely not wearing cargos and baggy jeans anymore. Mind you, I don't mean the frat boys and/or jock types.

Giant pants, XXXL shirts, and back-turned baseball caps are not what "this generation" is wearing, unless of course you mean the people that are my age that can't get their fashion sense out of 9th grade (mid-90s).

Either that or your pants fall off and your cock falls out of your boxers.

I like to see a man's ass and his thighs. I'm not a big fan or tapered legs, but a slim fit boot cut or truly straight leg look great.

Wait a sec.. I wear cargos... Does that make me A) a jock, B) a frat boy or C) a relic from a past era? I'm not sure which label I'm supposed to impose on myself.

So my psychiatrist was right - I AM fucking retarded!

Either that or your pants fall off and your cock falls out of your boxers.

Which is unfortunate, especially during events such as a funeral, giving a talk at a rape victims conference or being a Catholic priest.

I like to see a man's ass and his thighs.

Well then, you should take a look at my gallery. :D

Well, I did read the rest of your post, but when it comes down to it, this is the most important part... :biggrin1::biggrin1::tongue::tongue::biggrin1: Now I have to leave you some comments... That's a great gallery.

BTW your sig made me giggle.

There's something about 501's that make guys butts look great. Something about the pockets and v stitch in the back gives that optical illusion of a full shapely rear end.

I can't believe I'd forgotten about this...I had my wife snap this shot when we visited the Tower of London. Puerile humor, sure...but that's just me.

Sorry, Earl...no rear angle for ya.
