He's got a great ass, but his personality stinks, if reports of his behaviour on-set is to be believed. Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer had massive fights on set during the filming of Magic Mike, after Alex was a jerk to everyone during filming for no reason. He insanely believed he was the star of the movie, not Channing or Matthew McConaughey. Tatum apparently found him so difficult to work with in Magic Mike that he refused to do any promo work afterwards if Alex was going to be there too - Pettyfer is noticeably absent from several magazine photo shoots of the cast, and they didn't appear together for TV/press events.

Director Lee Daniels told Out magazine he’s tapped Magic Mike's Alex Pettyfer to play one half of a gay interracial couple who will be the center of a film he currently has in development. Daniels described the project as a gay Mr. and Mrs. Smith and that he’s currently on the lookout for the right man to play Pettyfer’s love interest. "Alex Pettyfer is in it, [but] I have to find the right black guy opposite him,” Daniels told Out. “He's so hot, isn't he? So hot. And so aware of his hotness in a way that's so…I love him to death."
