Don't be afraid to go by yourself. Take a towel, a few beers and just get comfortable with the atmosphere. It's an exceptional feeling even when you're alone. Gone by myself many times.

there's a real difference between the naturist resorts and the nude beaches. The former seem to be full of people looking for a break from the everyday - literally stripping away care and worry. The latter is a mix of the genuine naturist, the curious, the 'feeling naughty' and the actual pervert. I prefer resorts, I steel myself for beaches

That's probably the number one question asked about nudism. In the time I've been doing this, even at the places where an erection isn't an issue, it's still extremely rare, and in the family oriented places where an erection isn't appropriate, just cover it with your towel (towels are an absolute must if you plan to sit anywhere...nudism etiquette Rule #1) and don't make an issue of it. It happens even if it's rare.
