There's nothing in his singing that's going to break him through to mainstream success, and if it were going to happen, it would have already happened the LAST TIME he put out a single.
Acting would be an easier route for him to go given the roles he's already had. But he'll likely continue to be an aimless dilettante.

To be honest, apart from his slightly unique looks, he's never going to bother the billboard charts, and he's not going to win any Oscars for his acting.
He's sort of the perfect middle ground, for a period of time, for a certain audience.
His best bet would be to land some cheesey Disney musical series and ride that untill the wheels come off.

I agree 100%. Honestly, I’m just trying to be positive since he actually released something. Again, it’s cute. There’s nothing impressive lyrically or melodically, nor does it show off his voice in the best manner, but it may have a market on Tik Tok.
But, he needs to rethink his management He is talented, but the movies & shows either type cast him as just the one dimensional cute guy, or he loses ample screen time like in Shazam. Same goes for his music. All of those post of him in the studio working with Fallon (which was a mistake), just to release the song he released is a problem.
what he needs is to land a role on hbo or netflix where his character is just man meat to thirst trap, a total himbo with nudity and sex scenes. that'll make twitter and tumblr go wild for him and increase his popularity for studios to bother considering him for roles

Guys, he's clearly not interested in putting actual effort into either his music or acting careers...we can talk about what he should do all we want but Asher clearly has no ambition to take either path seriously.
Yeah, but he won't do it. He's trying to appeal to tween girls, not middle aged guys. Hence the shit music and very average, forgettable acting roles.
