Thanks so much for taking the time to recount all this. This kind of thing is exactly why I've been going through the thread page by page!
- In 2009 I was brought back to mainly just run the live shows. That was pretty much the extent of it. I would check in with Doug from time to time looking for work in front of the camera, but I ended up behind the scenes instead. There was some talk of me becoming more involved and maybe Doug was discussing this with other people, but I was just running the weekly live shows because Doug was having a rough time. They had rented a condo in Central Phoenix for filming and it was close to my day job so I didn’t mind spending my evenings helping out. Things did come to an abrupt end in 2009 because no one was getting paid. I wanted to be more involved, but it was pretty clear that there were financial problems, no longer any real employees, and a lot of broken promises for payment made by Doug. I was never paid by ASG for producing those live shows.
There is definitely no truth to the statement that Jay and I would work together to keep things going. Jay and I never really clicked at the beginning and that didn’t change much over the years. He was nicer to me when I started working with Joe Gage, because he loved Joe’s work, but we didn’t really talk much. Doug was always in charge and called the shots behind the scenes and we had a lot of mutual respect for each other.
2. I’m pretty sure it was Casey from ClubAmateurUSA who told me that Crow had been murdered (by his girlfriend?), so it must have happened around the time I was working with him doing CAUSA videos. I think Crow may have done a video for Club Amateur also. I can’t remember his real name, but I remember googling it after Casey told me. It may not be well known that Casey from Club Amateur actually worked for Doug and Jay, before he started his own site and before I met them.
3. If you could post one of the photos of Guzzo and Vance, it might help jog my memory around the circumstances. I’m sure there are scenes that were filmed that never made it to the website for various reasons. I directed a scene at a vacation rental with Anthony Duran (NastyDaddy.com) when Doug wasn’t feeling well, but I don’t think it ever made it to the site. Anthony was hired to do photo sets of the models for the website, so there there could be photos of models together who didn’t actually do scenes together…or their scene never made it to the site. You may not know this but I actually worked full time in the office for ASG for about 5 or 6 months in 2005/2006 as the “director of marketing”. I met Anthony on set while I was filming SWAT for John Bruno’s Massive Studios and Doug brought him onboard for the still photo work. There were a few times that vacation rentals were used for a week at a time and models would come and hang out so it could be possible that the Guzzo and Vance shoot happened during one of those weeks. That is how I ended up in the kitchen scene with Cypher and the other guy which led to the living room fickfest. Bryan was supposed to be in that scene, not me, but Jay wanted Bryan all to himself that day. The rest is history. Record keeping was also a major challenge in the office and being “2257 compliant” for model age verification. (This is required by the Child Protection and Obscenity Enforcement Act). That had to be a MAJOR issue when the content was purchased by Dink. He had to make sure he had complete files for every model or the content couldn’t be used. That may be why some older content has never made it back online. Record keeping and filing talk is definitely not sexy. Major boner killer

I can’t remember if you need 2257 docs for each scene or just on hand to prove that a model is over 18 years of age.
4. Please clarify… You never saw the live shows when they happened ?????!!!!!!!…but they were recorded and posted on the site afterward weren’t they? I remember my roommate ending up in a live show one time (model name Trevor? I think) that we shot at my house and I had to beg him to sign the paperwork and take his payment so the footage could be posted on the site. The live shows could be really great or sometimes just exhausting. I can’t remember how many shows per week were scheduled. They were run by Marc and then I started helping occasionally too. My first live show was with a model named Talmage. (That might actually be his real name). He had dingy torn tighty whiteys and definitely smelled like a straight guy but I think we 69’d right on the floor of the Studio and it was super fucking hot. I think that was right after the first video I ever did (with Tom) went up on the site. It would be sad if all that footage was lost. It was all recorded to tape and I don’t know if all of the tapes were ever uploaded and stored on a server.
5. I think the missing Taylor video might actually be a live Christmas show that was edited into an update. Do you have any pics or screen shots from it? I don’t think I topped him though. I think I would remember that, but it has been a long time. He was so handsome. He definitely could have been a model. Can you post a link to the other scene that I did with Taylor? He must have done 11 scenes in a short span of time because I don’t really remember him being around for very long.
If you think of anything else, just ask! I haven’t read through the entire blog yet, but I will say that for me, James, Cypher Guzzo and Axe were my favorite models. Just really nice genuine guys who also happened to be very sexy. Not sure if you know that Axe had a motorcycle accident and ended up paralyzed. Definitely paraplegic and maybe even quadriplegic. Very sad.
