When asked about his sexuality he literally stated in an interview with LA Times in 2020 “At the end of the day, I don’t know if in 20 years I will like a man. One never knows in life.” So it’s not like he tries to play this “straight macho” role. He’s just himself.
I mean what has he done to deserve this award? I love him but there are so many other men who put a lot more into helping the community

Ever since twitter learned about the word queerbaiting they look like a fucking parrot, repeating that everyday. Nowadays any male celebrity who doesn't wear a black suit to every event is queerbaiting.
Yes it's definitely overused and misused However, these men do need to be called out for their behavior. Kissing a guy on stage was for what? Straight men want to profit off the queer dollar so bad.

He's said before he's just someone who's confortable with his sexuality, therefore he sees no problem doing things like kissing men on stage. And it's not like they would have more visibility if they were queer, they actually wouldn't have half of it lol
Straight men don't kiss other men like that.
all i'm going to say, we should not forget how he brought awareness to trans women being killed. so I'm with him getting the award.
