He auditioned for America's got talent with an amazing version of pink pony club. He's easy on the eyes. He looks similar to [CENSORED NAME ALERT! This name is blacklisted on lpsg. They are called In The Stairwell because that's the only place they were allowed to sing. Now my dirty mind is asking me "is that were the fooling around happens in the armed forces?"
Also why would they allow active soldiers (or air-men in this situation) to audition for a tv show that is going to take them away from their duties? Like how does that work?
Doe anybody know?

Yeah wish he at least made it a bit farther but this is only the beginning for him.

They can get 3 or 4 day passes, or use vacation time; plus most of the armed services branches like to show off the "softer" side because it helps in recruiting. If they had won, then there may have been complications, but so far, any "military" winners have all been already discharged or retired.
