Bravo's Below Deck

I can agree to most of that. But Bravo was incredibly boring and elitist before Andy Cohen came along (he was Director of Programming, and produced many of the breakout shows, ie RHOC/Top Chef).

The old version of Bravo made PBS seem like MTV in comparison.

oh and Andy is super hot.

:grinning::grinning: At this point, Andy is hot enough to be one of the bosuns on BD.

His body would def make up for last season. :emoji_muscle::emoji_muscle:

And he would stir the shit pot. :poop::poop::poop:

Right. Because the arts and education is irrelevant, boring and elitist where as anti-intellectualism and wallowing in trash is what really feeds the soul.

In all fairness, that very comment comes across as very elitist, that only educational programming is of value somehow, you could always read a book if you don't want "entertainment"

There’s that word again and exactly who’s entertainment are you quoting?

I endorse the freedom for anybody to watch whatever they want, but considering its history, I take offense when referring to educational television as elitist.

In the 1990’s, Newt Gingrich and his merry troop of homophobes lead the charge against educational television, specifically referring to PBS as “elitist”, and used the airing of an unedited cinematic version of Long Time Companion, as well as the PBS production of the series Tales of the City, (which was one of the first series Bravo secured the rights to air, and both productions portrayed men kissing which was a first in television history), as ammunition in his failed attempt to defund PBS.

That said, the reason Bravo can exist in its current incarnation isn’t as much for the talents of Mr. Andy Cohen, but rather a previous generation’s fight to keep governmental censorship out of television programing.

I agree, thou I do find it amusing he takes offense over a word he actually used in his own comment lol. I don't care enough to further the discussion, and agree with let people watch what they want ;) rather than bash the network for which the show this thread was created for? aka below deck ;p so if anyone has any nude pics from that show any seasons now is your chance!

I was quoting his word and I was amused by your use of quotation marks.

No, he's really not. Even if you're into his type, he's one of the shallowest himbos in the industry (and not even the good type of himbo). If you looked up the word "vapid" in the dictionary you'd find his face next to the definition.
Can we just take a moment and acknowledge how funny of a word “himbo” is. First time I’ve ever heard that. Well played

Fraser looked nice on wwhl. Also said he hooked up with an ex crewmate that was “straight”View attachment 45597591
I feel like he hooked up with Jake on the low. He mentioned we'd have to watch later in the season when referring to Jake's kinky side, as if to hint at something went down outside of that kiss they've already shown. But also I don't think he'd out him if it wasn't on camera. So I'm confused.

Of course, that's assuming Jake isn't already out and we just don't know it yet. He doesn't seem like the type that would be ashamed of whatever he is. Hell, his Instagram profile calls him a sex therapist and he openly talks in front of TV cameras about liking to get pegged, sounds pretty sex-positive to me.

I couldn't agree more, since we haven't seen the full scene when they make out yet, its hard to tell completely. That being said Jake seems like a cool open minded guy, I'm sure if he actually hooked up with Fraser, he would openly admit, at least once the show is done. Im just so happy they Have a gay guy on this show, who isn't completely neuter and actually at least kissed someone lol

Well, it's not like there's been much opportunity. David from season one was engaged to Trevor Knight and Josiah was too busy trying to be the male version of Kate. Plus they were the only lgbt guys on their boats and sleeping with a guest would be immediate grounds for a firing.
