Call me a prude, but I hold politicians to a higher standard of professionalism than the average person. I don’t hold the average person to these standards, just politicians. They’re supposed to be paragons and uphold the highest standards of professionalism, class and decorum.
Politicians should not be acting like celebrities or attention whores. Trump was a celebrity and professional attention whore before becoming president and look how that turned out.
You really think politicians should be posting thirst traps like this?

But we have to question, who defines what "professional", "class", "decorum" are? Those things are subjective, and often determined by the patriarchy and white supremacy culture. Why do gay male politicians need to act like Ken Dolls? People have sex, gay men have sex, why should he have to pretend that's not true? I would trust him less if he put on a front that he was anything or anyone other than he is.
And why does it matter if a politician posts a thirst trap? Focus on the issues and impact rather than the frills.
