AM I MISSING THE PONT COMPLETELY ASh

C'mon, obb, you know that we can (and usually do) take a ridiculous query and make it ridiculouser and ridiculouser.

Few posts stay on topic from the beginning of the thread to the end. Even IRL conversations run off topic (excuse the smell, my cat just left me a gift in his litter box) every once in a while.

Smile, obb. If our being off subject irritates or bores you, you can always attempt to return us to the straight and narrow - much as you just did.

But be prepared.

It may do no good.

A Japanese character set for foreign words, swear words, and the equivalent of ALL CAPS. Some examples of foreign words written in katakana:

miruku -- milk
orenji -- orange
rinchi -- lynch
konpyuttaa -- computer
kurisumasu -- Christmas
uetsutto -- wetsuit
kohii -- coffee

I think my favourite words written in katakana are motosaiku ('motorcycle'), aisi kurimu ('ice cream') and chiineija ('teenager'). English sounds just don't translate well into Japanese.

I'm sorry .. what were yall saying ... I lost track of the conversation after hearing the word "semen".

I'm with you Ashlar. All this katakana is frightning. I had to peek three times just remember how to spell the word. I'll pass on this new literary technique. But "semen" :excl: I understand that

Nor do other words, as I had fun explaining to Leo Lee.

I think the semen is in several haikus,
including mine.
