Call me by your name - online?

Yeah, the movie is great as it is. Though it would've been nice to see an Armie frontal for posterity. The man is gorgeous.

And for the one asking, yes. Luca is gay.

Luca seems very fond of his actors, so it wouldn't surprise me if Armie or Timmy team up again with him for other movie in the future. (Besides CMBYN sequels, if any)

Of course I'd love to see Oliver facefuck Elio, but it's not like the film will improve tremendously because of it. It's already good as a romance genre. Does people complain about the lack of sex in straight rom-coms too?

do you think Timothee is also uncut?
Although her mother is Jewish, his father is french. So, unless his father is Jewish as well, I'd say he's uncut.

Just watched the movie for the nth time. There only 10 of us in the cinema. Too bad this movie didn't have much the promotion and attention. People of all gender would have loved it
It went out SOOOO late. There were huge buzz for the film, critics are all praising it. SPC should jump on the opportunity to lure people, especially the undecided one or the curious viewers. But instead people need to wait 2 or 3 months but by that time the interest from non-hardcore fans are already fizzling out. And don't get me started on SPC's lazy campaign for Oscar. If they intend to make a sequel, I hope Luca avoid SPC at all cost.

So far I've only seen it twice, but I quess it's normal.
Luca and Tim said in their facebook live when asked if there are addtl scenes in the movies directors cut and blu ray, they said no because the scenes that were cut will be used for the sequel! I am just so excited at the thought of it

To those of you who have read the novel. Does it give more details about the "call-me by-your-name game"? Like who's idea was it, how it started ...? I think it's very poetic and romantic, especially in their last phone call, but I just wonder?

It was in the book the way it was portrayed on screen with Oliver saying it but the phone call part at the end was just added in the movie.

Plusdede.com, you have to to make an account and its a spanish site but it also offers english versions of almost any film

I don't think it was because of Armie's, there were artistic decisions made by the director - himself an out gay man:

I also read earlier that Luca had concerns about being able to find distributors if the sex scenes were too graphic...etc. I don't know how true that would have been.

I've personally never felt the need for there to be more sex scenes, or more explicit sex scenes in the film - I don't think it's necessary.

It didn’t do “blue is the warmest colour” any problems having graphic sex scenes. Which by the way was a far superior film than CMBYN.

I guess that’s because it involved female nudity. Distributors don’t seem to mind gay content when it’s two females.

What is sort of cool about the movie is that it shows that you can be in love, and have it be real and serious but it doesnt have to be forever. A lot of people have trouble getting over a past short love interest..especially bi guys who fall for someone..and it ends and you go on to live a straight life. Its sorta like a good memory and also good to know that it happens to others Not that this has happened to me or anything <grin>

First love is really special because you get to experience a lot of firsts with it. You have somewhat created a special bond already and with Elio and Oliver, Oliver is closeted which makes it hard for him to let go of elio because what he said on the inscription at the back of the post card (book, not in the movie) only Elio knows all his secrets
