Callum Scott Howells

yes because being a queer out actor gets you so many more jobs than being straight, in Hollywood or anywhere. Do ya'll even hear yourselves? lol smh
Yes because there are no gay people in showbusiness.

Also, he's not in Hollywood. He's had a couple of small roles in low budget British television series.

Gay people in show business doesn't mean showbusiness is progressive. There have been gay agents that tell actors to stay in the closet.

okay? That is sort of not helping your own argument. How has "pretending to be queer" exactly propelled him or helped him? How could we ever even know that? It's nonsense.

Ya'll are just narrow minded conspiracy theorists, that's all this is. Unless someone has a cock hanging out of their mouths or a limp wrist and gay voice, you don't respect their queerness. Ya'll don't need evidence, just feelings and stereotypes

He has a girlfriend. I don't think men who date women are "queer", whatever that means.

But I'm not going to argue with the sort of person who uses (and misspells) terms like "y'all".

Well I don't care to engage with the "sort of person" who is so ignorant and narrow minded to dismiss bisexual people's existence/identity based on who they date. So we both have our standards I suppose.

Exactly! Also im pretty sure Russel T Davies wanted to only hire queer actors for Its A Sin so its why he got cast

Anyone can identify as queer. It doesn't mean anything.

Makes a total mockery of all those who were (and continue to be) persecuted because of their sexuality.
It's ironic as hell to be persecuting someone for being bisexual while complaining about being persecuted for being gay. You DO know what the B In LGBT means, right? We exist. We love, fuck, and yes, DATE more than just the same sex.

Callum doesn't identify as bisexual though, so you can calm down there, hunny bunny.

Doesn't really matter, this same narrow minded attitude expressed by ignorant people like "Tom" is the same directed to any fluid or bisexual person. So no, he doesn't need to be calm. Bigotry and wilful ignorance should not be tolerated frankly.

Callum identifies as queer, which is not the same as bisexual. There has been some question around it as his queer identity has landed him jobs and he has never elaborated on the issue. He was the emcee in the West End production of Cabaret, which has been exclusively gay, currently its someone whos name I can't put here for some reason, but he is gay, you can look it up easily, its the same for Broadway, currently Daniel Pitout/Orville Peck. I really don't care that much about who is in gay spaces, people like Darren Criss have always been allies, and I don't care to alienate them, at the same time I understand why people might be confused.

The first Emcee in that version was Eddie Redmayne, and one of the replacements was Adam Gillen… who I think are both straight?

Correct. They are straight. The emcee has not always been gay.

Queer is shorthand for "not straight", he is effectively sexually fluid (which is what bi/pansexuality is). There is no need to argue this.

No, that is your definition of queer. And you don't get to police what we can or can't argue.

There is literally a rule against arguing people's sexuality on here, so actually yes I will police something that is already prohibited by the mods.
