I don't think most religious people are anti-vax because of "religion." The ones that say they are...are saying they are as some bullshit excuse. Sure, there are some religions out there that are anti....anything medical, but generally you don't see followers of those religions becoming doctors.
True, religions that are actually against medicine are extremely uncommon. However, it's undeniable that there is a strong correlation between being religious and being anti-vax(among other things). As to why, there's a multitude of reasons but in most cases it comes down to conservatism imo.

I think the path to being anti-vax is actually anti-intellectualism, which happens to find a home in the conservative movement. The Venn diagram of anti-intellectuals falls entirely inside the one for conservatives, however the Venn diagram that includes physicians, conservatives and anti-intellecuals is a tiny spec of a corner of the 3.

Being religious has nothing to do with being against medicine or anti vaxx, being right wing is the problem. In order to be right wing you have to ascribe to a whole witches brew of horrible ideas. Racism, homophobia and anti-intellectualism among them.

The anit-vaxxers in the case of Covid aren't even your typical anti-vaxxers. These are people who were fine with all of the other vaccines they've taken in their lives but for some reason being against the Covid vaccine has become a right wing litmus test for loyalty the the conservative cause.

just fyi, his dad being a doctor doesn't mean much regarding their views on the covid vaccine.
i've seen plenty of american doctors and nurses on social media being against the covid vaccine, which would then fuel the anti vax movement, because they were seeing health workers rejecting the vaccine.
being religious usually equates with being right wing, because they have very similar bigoted values. but there's always exceptions, there's plenty of religious left wing people. but as a european, whenever i hear about someone from north america being very religious, i immediately associate them with being right wing

where did you come up with that shit being right wing has nothing to do with all that your picking out the very very small minority group on the right. To say everyone is like that is to say all left is against free speech killing unborn babies, big government, and trying to run peoples, everyday life and that's not true that's the fringe element.

Looks like someone got offended. Never quite understood how can someone be queer and a conservative.

You must be living in a parallel reality if you think it's the minority. In fact, it's difficult to find a conservative which is not a homophobic ass.
It's ridiculous to even think otherwise, conservatism is by definition a homophobic ideology. You've got to perform some extreme mental jumps to try and think otherwise.
We are veering very off-topic so this is probably my last response on this.

Lots of gay conservatives and lots of lgbt supporters. Contrary to your belief, true conservatism is we were all created equal. Stop trying to spread your hate. Most of us are all for legal pot, are for abortions, reasonable gun laws, etc. you chose to believe otherwise. This is a thread about Carson, go rant on Reddit.

He is not in Florida.... he just posted a live video of himself in a restaurant that only has locations on the west coast. But YOU are in Florida according to your profile... Between this delusional statement about him being somewhere close to you (which he is not), and all of your other little stories posted on here about you "meeting" him and "knowing" him (which are all so obviously false), that is some psychotic stalker shit. Your over-obsession with him is not normal. There is a massive difference between what you are doing and the rest of us who just find him attractive and post about it on here. In the nicest, most sincere way possible, please seek professional mental help before your fantasies evolve into something much more dangerous. This exact kind of behavior is how every celebrity stalker situation you hear about on the news begins.
