Some people literally get mad about posting an ass that wasn't "mooning", even though mooning is basically showing off your butt. But I have to be careful: otherwise someone will post more screenshots of the definition of mooning from Wikipedia (as if that is some kind of authority on gay perspectives on the display of male asses!). Purists, on a porn site, are really very odd people.

Y’all okay some clarification on what I personally mean. We have threads for a reason and off topic stuff here and there is fine but we all have specific likes and dislikes. You wouldn’t go posting cock on an ass thread, so when we have a mooning thread I’d like to keep to the trend. Otherwise I’d look more at “straight guys showing of” thread. It’s hard enough to find mooning content as is, but when people are just posting ass you’re missing the point. Yes, mooning is showing butt, but not all butts are mooning.

You’re not wrong though. On a mooning thread I want to see mooning not just ass presented in any sort of way. I follow general ass threads for that. When I want mooning I want…..mooning

It's not a question of puritannical or not. It's a question that there already exists 2-3 threads for simple ass pics and, honestly, maybe a bit too many mooning threads for how small most of them are. Not following the thread's subject just makes them completely obsolete. If you wanted to look at, say, Chris Hemsworth, and had someone posting a million photos of his brother in his thread, it could become annoying. They may have similarities, and you could even find them both in the same photo at times, but that's not what you're looking for, and if you were looking for his brother, you'd look for his name instead.

The same applies here. If you enter a mooning thread, you expect mooning. And to be fair, this thread fares way better than the main mooning one in that regard. There are a few that don't fit the bill, but it's really not that bad here. I guess people are being preventive, though I'm surprised this subject became this extended in this thread rather than the other. Anyways, my stance on this is, contributing irrelevant pics is about as good as sending a bump. It makes the thread appear more easily for people, but you have to scroll longer to get what you were looking for.
