I've always entertained the idea of chastity locks, but never really got one, until yesterday.

It was kind of an half-impulsive / half-drunk buy.
For a start, I got a "soft" version - this one here.
Today, along other stuff, it arrived and questions arose -

1. How safe is it to wear it for a long time at once? Is it safe to wear it for a few days at once? (that would be its' point, but still...)

2. As it is made of silicone-like (or silicone) material, is the glans of penis supposed to go and press all to the front? I'm uncircumcised, and having a "revealed" penis is pretty intense experience for me, and if my foreskin isn't pulled it looks like it is really pressed and tightend (although doesn't feel like it)

3. Should I use some kind of lube, and should I add it during day, to keep things "smooth"?


I would appreciate both answers and general beginner advices from guys with experience

I've played around with chastity devices and have read a lot of forums on this topic so I'll offer my opinion. The longest I've ever worn one was about 9 hours but I've read stories of guys in perpetual lockup.

Basically, as with anything in life, if it starts to hurt then stop doing it. There's a difference between discomfort, ache and then pain. It's going to feel weird at first. Listen to your body and don't push yourself much beyond ache. You don't want the embarrassment of going to the ER.

To answer your questions based on my experience and what I've read:
1) Yes, safe for wear long term. I've never read a story of permanent damage or shrinkage or anything like that. Make sure it's clean and if you do want to be locked up long term you will need to take it off at least weekly for cleaning or get a device that has open slots which allow cleaning in the shower. Mine has a short urethra tube which make urination mess-free.

2) Do whatever is most comfortable for you. Since you are uncut then you might need to try a few different ways and even different devices might be better. The device I have is very short and presses right up against my glans, I was cut as an infant. I find the smaller device very comfortable as nothing has an opportunity to move around.

3) As mentioned I have a short urethral tube on mine that I lubricate with coconut oil when I put it on. Coconut oil also has anti-bacterial properties which helps prevent UTI's. I wanted a urethral tube to make urinating standing up possible, which it does. That's the only lubrication I use. I find putting the rest of the device on with lubrication difficult but some use it.

From what I have read and experience is that if you have a good fitting device then it won't be uncomfortable or painful. I've read stories of guys wearing these things literally for years on end. It seems like the consensus is to take it off and wash at least once a week. If it starts to hurt then your doing something wrong. Make sure that when you first start to wear it you maintain control of the key to determine that it's safe and pain-free before deciding on a key-holder. You don't want to be in a situation where your key-holder is unavailable and you have to go to the ER to get it cut off due to pain. I tried a very direct approach this evening - inversed and lubed up my soft cage, lubed up my dick, and pulled the cage over it with a little bit of pushing and tucking. A few beers gave me more courage and much more simplicity in thinking and procedure itself.

Frankly, even the thought of something entering the hole in my penis discomforts me. Of course, as I have some free space left in my silicone cage, that can be a hygienic concern, but only in case of long(er) term wearing.

So, this gadget arrived and I was more curious than eager to try it on. I have to admit, my original interest was more about novelty than the intent of the device.
