Circumcision Mania?

More circlist guys posing as people their not... the compulsions will releive the anxiety but never take away the obsession guys...

The loss of sensitivity after circumcision is not immediate. Shortly after the procedure it is more sensitive because of the lack of foreskin to protect the glans. The desensitization is cumulative and progressive.

The main reason infant circumcision persists in the US is that it is an easy way for physicians to make a quick buck. Evidence for this comes from the UK, where circumcision was common until the National Health Service stopped paying for it, at which time the rate dropped to about two percent.

First off, I must say, I would NEVER let a doctor do anything to me that wasn't medically necessary. My parents had the good sense to leave me intact and let ME decide if I wanted to have it done, or see if it were medically necessary to have it done. Now..... your friend who had himself circumcised at the behest of his partner.... there is NO WAY IN HELL ANYBODY is worth unnecessarily modifying your body over... I'm sorry, thats my story, I'm sticking to it ! I had someone tell me the same thing..." we can't be together unless you get yourself cut.. I don't like uncut cocks.." My reply was " I don't particularly like your nose, how about you go get a nose job ? " He said " There's nothing wrong with my nose ", and was quite put out that I would say such a thing ! And thats where it ended... I finished my bourbon in one swig, payed the bill, and walked away and told him not to bother calling me, there was NO way I would live in a one sided relationship.
I realize this is going to draw fire from the guys who are cut.... to you, I say "more power to ya".....If you feel the need to have it done, it's yours to do with as you please .I apologize to those of you for having bad experiences with men who are lacking in personal hygiene. Most of us are meticulous about it, and have to pay for the bad taste others have exhibited.... and for that, I am truly sorry... but please do NOT pigeonhole all of us who are uncut into the "smelly cock-makes-me-wanna-puke" category.. its just tacky....:suspect:

Evidence? Please do share.

Over the past two or three months I have met at least 10 guys - all in their early 20's, who have decided to get circumcised. None of them needed to - they all had good healthy cocks from small to impressive in size.
The only guy I was able to ask, said that he was doing it because his American b/f insisted that he lose his foreskin. A bit severe, I think!
Is this circumcision thing a new trend?
I can't see why people want to lose their foreskin. I love mine, I love other guys foreskins - they're so much fun.
If anyone has recently chosen to be circumcised let us know why. Are you glad that you did it? What difference has it made? Does your cock feel better and look better?
And please, don't go on about the old hygiene thing. A well looked after uncut cock can be just as clean and hygienic as a cut one!
I am curious.

As a fitness instructor over the past few years this CIRCUMCISION issue has come up regularly with male clients at the fitness center ... it is always a PERSONAL decision so PLEASE readers on here CALM DOWN ... nothing seems to ignite like this issue ... the vast MAJORITY of men I have spoken to are quite content with the decision made by their parents to circumcise at birth (a small number were done as children for medical reasons) ... every man who has shared with me that he made the ADULT decision has been pleased with the result - it seems to me (as a man who was circ'd at birth and thus has only experienced one side of the issue) that once all the dust has settled and emotions are in check - only men who have had BOTH the uncircumcised and circumcised penis as adults are truly QUALIFIED to judge and make truly VALID comments on this intimate question (so all the judgments concerning increased/decreased sexual pleasure or sensitivity etc. etc. should really best be left to those WHO KNOW BY EXPERIENCING BOTH THE BEFORE AND AFTER!) ... I have never heard a complaint of disappointment from a man over this (and guys really open up to me about personal items while working out/training at the center) ... it is true that circumcision of the penis has been quite common in most of North America (US and Canada) for a very long time ... opinions (both medical and personal) come and go ... most men who have told me they decided on the procedure have done it primarily because they prefer the APPEARANCE, the LOOK of the circumcised penis (and taste is a very personal, individual thing) ... most guys are clean, hygenic and so on ... so the operation is usually to satisfy a desire (much like liposuction, plastic surgeries, etc. to change appearance) so please let's be calm and rational - it is NO MORE a MUTILATION than a nose job, tummy tuck or a tattoo/body piercing for that matter ... circumcision is a choice - usually not an easy one or one done in haste ... reasoned investigation and calm deliberate questioning should always be the hallmark of any males considering circumcision ... most uncircumcised males will strongly defend their foreskins - and this is as it should be - but please be calm, rational, and accepting of those men who opt for its removal!

(I don't know how to quote from other posts.)

The year the NHS quite paying, the circ rate dropped precipitously. I can think of no better evidence.

I'm referring to the claim of sensitivity lost.

I would say that the trend (or at least where I am in Canada) is to leave newborns uncut. A pregnant couple of mine told me the doctor told them almost nobody circumcises their kids anymore.

I would say among my friends in their 20's it about 50/50 or even 60/40 to uncut and cut.

However I do know 2 of my friends who wanted to get it done, but never went through with it.

I disagree. Another group also qualified to comment is those who have restored their foreskins. It's not a perfect comparison but it counts. Safe-to-say, most of those prefer having a foreskin.

Included in the F/R group are men who were cut as ADULTS and later decided to restore it. Safe-to-say, they are dissatisfied with their adult circumcisions.
... so please let's be calm and rational - it is NO MORE a MUTILATION ...
For the record, you're the first in-this-thread to mention mutilate/mutilation. Perhaps you don't know: that is a "hot button" word that gets the pro-cut group agitated. Just as smell/stench gets the pro-foreskin group agitated.

So you say "let's be calm and rational" but use a hot-button word in the same sentence -- do you see a contradiction? I too would like for circ. threads be civil and respectful but the previously mentioned hot-button words don't help matters.

For the record, I don't have a quarrel with those who as adults chose to be cut. Of course I have a negative view of that, as most everyone reading these threads should know. I do hope that they like it since if they didn't there isn't an easy remedy.

SO OBVIOUS. But the circumcision SWAT team can't handle the truth. And the truth is most men report no difference or better. And BTW if you're looking for 100% approval on ANY subject you simply are NOT going to get it. So don't even bother saying 5 or 10% report not being happy. 90-95% is goodness. Or even 80-85%, you just are not going to get the 100% disapproval the anti-circ brigade would like to say.

I consider this circumcision thing stupid.

If people were cut when born, then I just feel sorry for them, but if it's their choice, then I just don't get it...

Hi Joseph -- How sweet that you feel sorry for all the guys who were cut as newborns. Never mind the reasoning behind it...right?

In all honesty...I appreciate You thinking of me...and my cut penis.:wave2:
