anybody ever encounter dudes under 50 using open showers? So far no one at my gym under 50 appears to shower at all. i think i am the only one Maybe a university shower is better? Do guys in college still even use them at the rec centers?

I think the larger question is are there any open showers anymore? The gyms I've been to are all closed off by curtains and walls.

I rarely see anyone under 50 shower nude. Today I was the only person that took his suit off and showered without it. There was an older dude when I first showered before the hot tub and two after, and all showered the whole time in their suits. This is at the gym with no curtains on the dividers.

I only know of two locations in San Antonio that have no curtains on the dividers, and know of no showers that are just completely open. I haven't seen one of those in a gym in over 10 years

Why is it that we've gone from open to closed showers? Have we gotten to the point that the naked human body is to be unseen at all times? I understand some people want privacy, but are they the minority or is it we that really don't care and can shower in open showers without issue and we're the minority?

really want to start a good list for bradley pole showers. Please list where you found them in the past couple years and if there is a daily rate to use them. i am really interested in these. i never knew how free i was until a did a nude beach last year, unlocked the exhibitionist in me. i have never see a bradley pole at a gym but seems they still exist. there is an old college near me who i suspect has them but they will only sell an annual membership and its about 35 min from me. Meanwhile my YMCA still has open showers

I was in a university locker room tonight. It wasn't very busy when I was there, but I saw three naked guys in their early 20s in the shower or toweling off. In the sauna there were three of guys, me-51, one guy mid-40s, and a third guy later 20s maybe. In this sauna students typically wear compression shorts or gym shorts. The guy came in wrapped in just a towel and then opened it up when he sat down. He kind of folded his hands in front of his dick so it wasn't on display. I was pretty impressed he was naked even if he didn't show off the family jewels. Maybe that will come with more trip to the sauna.

I studied at several colleges in different countries here in Europe and the sports facilities always had open showers. Almost everyone showers there (naked of course) so you get to see lots of athletic hung 20 something year olds.

Even the commercial gyms I used in the past had open showers.

Yes, in the past, gyms in the US did have them. In a number of cities, though, older gyms like Bally's that had these have gone out of business and the ones that remain have been built in the last 15 years at most, and anything older than that has been remodeled. I know of no gym open showers in this area of the state.
Research shows Houston has just a couple left at an older gym and YMCA; and there may be a couple in Dallas...

Almost nobody ever wore a towel or even took one with them when showering in the locker room at the universities I attended. This was over 30 years ago.

I've never seen that, curtains around Bradley. I guess to provide a more closed in private space within....vs..100% open? As set up round curtain around, yet, 2, 3, 4 could all be within curtain together?

Yes it's strange, each pole has a curtain. What is the point? If it's being used, can I still join in?

Used the Bradley pole today. Was only person there. I guess the curtains block the view from the lockers and walking to the pool. What's the point? Also curtains look gross and take up half the pole because it runs against it.

Gym just remodeled. They replaced the open shower room with a maze of walls with shower heads. Each shower has a circle around it from which hangs a shower curtain. Here's the kicker. The curtains are clear plastic - completely see through.

I really wonder who is designing these locker rooms now. Like the kind with the shower heads on the wall and stone dividers between them with no curtains, and the towel hooks in the center of the walls on the opposite sides of the showers. You are walking naked from the towel hook to the shower. What is the point of the dividers again?
Compare this to the high school showers setup we had when I went in the 80s. We lined up nude for available showers and only got a towel when finished.
