"Curvy"

after conslting someone who should know about this subject[hubby] he says that i am curvy and that is what got his eyes on me in the first place, and to use his own words here, my curves still blinds his site with my good looks and all my curvy assets, i do think he is laying it on a bit heavy here but i been around in his presents now for about 16 years so i guess he could be right, but i dont think of myself as a sexy curvy type,im just me.so i would have to say here that curvy would be in the eye of the beholder

However, when I googled 'hour glass figure' images I found Lucy Pinder. I would kill to have a body that good.

 That's not curvy - that's busty. Her hips don't look anything special to me...

Marilyn would be the ultimate definition of a curvy woman. This lady though i wouldn't consider curvy at all. She is just skinny with big boobs. For me curvy doesn't mean just big fake boobs but bust, waste, hips that are all in proportion and all bigger then average

The waist thing can vary (for my personal definition) but generally I agree with you.

"Curvy" to me means a woman with breasts and/or hips that are larger/wider than her waist. Does that meet your criteria for an answer?

Curvy can mean anyone from J-Lo to Connie Nielsen to Queen latifah in my book

Aye - and a lot of the time it depends on how the woman dresses herself - put Miss Surrey in turned up jeans and a floppy sweatshirt and she's a fat girl, put her in a tight blouse with fitted waist and boot cut jeans and you got a 'curvy' - There's an elememnt of 'style' in 'curvey', for me anyway.

Any woman that does not have the figure of a 13 year old boy is curvy to me!

This man knows what he's talking about :yup:

I used 'curvy' in that thread. I know that where I live, the term curvy is used to describe women with big butts and breasts, but also 'huggable' types.
It has become more of a polite way to say slightly fat, or big boned, but not obese or too overweight.

Marilyn Monroe didn't have a great butt.
It was quite evident in some outfits.

I'm into thick + super curvy. Jennifer Hudson doesn't fit the bill with what I have in mind.

Serena Williams is a very good example. Yet even she could stand to have more hip width to better match her figure.

Lucy Pinder looks like boobs with an average body. Curvy, but not exceptionally. She has the type of body many guys will stare at though.

Beyonce has a very curvy body. she isn't quite in the supercurvy leaque though. Her breasts could stand to be bigger (though I don't put as much emphasis on breasts) and her butt more pronounced. Her legs are beautiful and thick, and I certainly stare when watching her on tv, but they are not quite perfect, as they could stand a bit more definition (like Mariah Carey's legs have, for instance).

The shapliest woman I've ever seen was a black woman working at a store. One could tell those were curves that would remain as much so even with her clothes off. I had on some very good bulge jeans that day and not only did she immediately catch my eyes, I immediately caught hers. I'm not one to stare in public, but I was having trouble averting my eyes off of her body. She was thicker, and curvier than Serena Williams, about her height (5'10") and prettier. She was busy and wasn't asking any customers walking by if they needed any help, but as I approached she asked if I needed any help. I said no thank you and walked by. I wanted to ask her what time she got off and then eventually end up fucking her brains out that night and getting to see that body up close and personal. But I didn't. If I'm to be honest, I was intimidated by her. At the time I believed that black women in general can handle more and that black guys are in general bigger, and therefore black women are used to getting big dicked more often than white women are. I also believed amazon women can handle more. She had it all going on. I now know there is some truth to all that, but I'm not bringing it up to start another racial or height discussion. I'm bringing it up to illustrate why I walked on by. I've had penis size insecurity for quite some time, and though the vast majority of the time I've never let it stop me (have had sex with a dozen women), it has interfered in some ways. Keep in mind that I had a very good bulge going on and she definitely seemed atttacted not only towards me, but even more specifially towards it. It was definitely evident as she couldn't seem to stop taking glances. Yes, I'm over 6' tall, broad shoulders, a good butt, and have overheard chicks rate me an 8. So I realised I was appealing to her in general, but she was definitely doing some serious bulge looking also, and I got the strong impression from her looking size counted to her (counted at least somewhat), so that along with her body indicating to me she would handle me too easily, I let it stop me. Sigh. A few minutes later I even noticed her come around the corner, glance my way (and towards my bulge again also) and it seemed she was pretending to work on something but wasn't actually. I noticed she had gotten a sort of deer in the headlights look on her face, and from the way she acting I had the impression she wanted to speak to me but couldn't bring herself to. About that time, a taller than me black guy who was working there walks up to her and was leaning over talking to her in a way that had nothing to do with work. She broke from her deer in the headlights look and smiled back at him and responded. I left very soon afterwards.

Actually I said what it means to me. Most women have curves. Some have more on top than bottom and vice versa. "Curvy" to me means a woman with breasts and/or hips that are larger/wider than her waist. Does that meet your criteria for an answer?

Curvy can mean anyone from J-Lo to Connie Nielsen to Queen latifah in my book

Fair enough. The dictionary citation made me wonder.

They are.

Women will say they are curvy if they are overweight. Like on a dating website profile, "I am a real woman with curves, so I hope you can handle that." Thus the confusion. I think it should be, like others said, bigger breasts and hips/ass, but slim waist -- an hourglass shape. They can still be overweight and curvy if it is in the right proportion. I would say most women in reasonable shape with some muscle would be a bit curvy.

I don't know if they are fake, but here are three examples that I would call curvy:
Busty Blonde
Denise Milani
??????

They're all fine, but that first one's a killer! Definitely curvy. Causation of traffic mishaps. Yow.

Thx,
Kev

When I think of curvy, I do think of Mae West, and Lucy Pinder. The guys on another site I visit are all over Lucy Pinder's pictures. Too bad they ban for the nude ones. :p

I am short, chubby, but hopefully curvy, although I don't have nearly enough of a chest.

The guys over on that other site go nuts for Vida Guerra, too.

I would definitely cite Beyonce as curvy. I think curvy can be anyone with an hourglass figure with larger breasts, hips/butt and a smaller waist. Thin and large women can be curvy.

I do agree that more overweight women will use the term "curvy" to describe their shape because they are not thin and not too big.

I have described myself as curvy in dating ads for a few reasons: 1)I am. I wear a 36DD bra, have larger hips but a smaller waist. I have a flat tummy. 2)I am overweight, but I'm not obese. 3) It does sound more positive than some of the options.

I do wish my butt were a little smaller, but my current bf and other guys have dated tell me they like my round butt, my small waist and my big boobs so I guess there's someone for everyone. I am still "curvy" though whether I'm thinner or heavier than I am right now simply because that's my shape.

the problem is that the media uses 'curvy' as an alternative to 'big' or 'fat'. and so overweight women do also. but generally, curvy means, at least to me, having an ass and hips and tits. but a slimmer (note, not always SLIM, but slimMER than the rest of the body) waist, legs etc.

i unfortunately, am just plain big

I've noticed what some guys call curvy is simply a woman with large breasts. She could have a small ass and they still think she's curvy. Nature provided me with B cups and a juicy bum and some people still call me slender while others call me curvy. Based on that observation I think a woman's frame has something to do with how curvy she looks as well. I'm 5'8 and my frame isn't large although I have wide shoulders and a small waist. I guess it depends if you're looking at me from the side or the back or front. I've seen petite women who look extra curvy with B or C cups and slight hip span but on a woman who's 5'10 or taller they would still appear slender to most.

I get curvier as I lose weight, not as I gain it because I tend to gain weight in my abdomen. I always have slim legs and hips compared to my upper body, which is large. I have large shoulders and large breasts, so to be truly curvy, as in, have feminine curves, I have to get rid of all the excess fat in my torso. To be honest, I don't know if I can ever have a curvy body-- most likely my best body has small hips and legs and large breasts.

If you put bliss and I together, you'd have a mega-curvy super-woman. My top on her bottom, we'd be like BAM! TAKE THAT FOR CURVY MOTHERFUCKERS!!!

Nothing sexier than a curvy woman. None of those toothpick boney-ass model types for me. I like my women with a little meat on her bones.

Curvy (noun)
    1. A line that deviates from straightness in a smooth, continuous fashion.
    2. A surface that deviates from planarity in a smooth, continuous fashion.
    3. Something characterized by such a line or surface, especially a rounded line or contour of the human body
Unless a woman is shaped like a box, that's the correct definition for most women.

ah fuck, I can't believe you've done this

A whole dollar! Whoowee!

Cha ching :biggrin1:

Fi' dollar, fi' dollar!

Allow me to ramble...
To me, a 'curve' is a feminine feature which isn't flat or straight - a body part that has recognisable shape. Such as the roundness of a buttock or breast, the inward 'wave' of a waist, but then not-so-obvious ones like the acuteness of the curve from neck to shoulder, height and protrusion of cheekbones, tapering of the calves.
In my opinion, someone can be defined as 'curvy' if they possess multiple features as listed above(which were a small sample).
Any given curve is attractive to me...

However, the threshold, or degree of 'curviness' for any given trait to which it becomes more or less desirable is something which I need to think more on before I can give my definitive answer.

I'm stuck on the same river, different bridge. My answer is void.

I choose my own women very carefully.
