If you all are lucky America really will decline to second world status and you'll be able to find cheap deals too. My 3 hectares with a shack and a spectacular ocean view cost 53,000€. And the penthouse condo was less than 100k.

I found my house...13k more than I wanted to pay. It's in the area I wanted to be in, has a small yard, 3bedrooms, 1bath and a garage. No fence but that's ok...I can do that. YeaY for me!!!

You can have a house in Saginaw or Flint for about $2500
But...you wouldn't want to live in the area.

We've got forclosure deals from $20-80K for a huge house, much more coming this fall. Even mine may be in the list.

Awesome! The hubby and I just bought a house in the middle of Feb. It had everything we wanted (and a bunch of stuff we didn't want, too.) Everyone says it's a bad time to be a home-owner, but I think that's only if you're looking to sell. If you're looking to buy, the time is just right!

I was going to say Metro Detroit area. Some nice homes in Livonia going for 30K or less.
