No fury here. Just an invitation to come down and see how it's done. They really do need something tart on top, like ranch dressing. Or my incredible pimento cheese.

My grandmother fixed them when I was younger (she's a southern gal) and, like okra, I just couldn't develop a taste for it. I do believe you can add bacon to anything and it will taste better than before. She also made the best fried chicken. *Drools*

Anyone know what retailers in Canada carry Old Bay seasoning? I can't find it anywhere and I've got a couple BBQ dry-rub recipes that require it.

A personal lazy weekend favourite of mine: Melted Red Leicester cheese on a toasted bagel, a few halved cherry tomatoes, oodles of ground pepper and finally drizzled with Zulu fire sauce in the last 30 seconds.....

I will take your word for it, but may not think of bean sprouts in the same way again....

If I were on death row my last meal would be Lobster Tails and Fillet Mignon.

Actually Lobster was a poor man's food as it would wash up on the shore and be fed to prisoners.

My favorite type of food is Chinese-American food.

Second would be Italian, although I don't like spaghetti

Overall my late grandmother's cooking was outstanding her meatloaf tasted like ChateauBriand.

No one has mentioned baklavá. . .are there no Greeks at this forum? I love baklavá hot from the oven as only my Yiayiá could make it. Actually, I have her recipe and do a reputable job.
