Do straight guys do this....?

I have a group of friends. We go way back. They are all married and straight. We get together for dinner about four times a year. The conversation always turns to our sex lives and our dicks. Especially one particular guy because we all know he's bigger than any of the rest of us. I think conversing about dicks is a weak indicator and not enough to initiate a proposition. Although it could possibly open the door to a more direct conversation, I don't know. Good luck. People can be really tough to read.

Nah, no hostility there, Mr.Poet. I just didn't say it clear. From my personal experience, I've noticed that all my male friends are more than willing to talk about their dicks. I'd say 85% of them are straight. Talking about dick is just what guys do. It's partially for security, and partially for curiousity to see how they stack up.

However, you are correct in that last sentence... some straight guys are rather un-open when it comes to talking about their cock. I personally feel it's an insecurity thing.

Real straight men don't want to know about dick, talk about dick or see dick. They'd rather that dick didn't exist, but as nature gave them one, they have to deal with it and sometimes hear about others'. You see, true straight men really only like pussy-on-pussy sex; they're almost like transsexual lesbians.

Uh, dont you mean transgender lesbians?

I don't think it's a gay-straight divide there. Maybe he's just interested in the topic. I know guys who talk about them all the time -- two are straight and one's gay.

i think it depends on the person. I have one group of friend where the topic is rarely discussed, and then another group that talks about dicks all the time. However, in both groups comments are always said jokingly.

If your friend is serisously obsessed with dicks, then he might be gay. Like others have mentioned, try just asking him about his orientation. maybe wait until the conversation takes a turn towards dick, and then bring it up? I don't know. I'm no expert.

Baby, you can come be gay with me whenever you want.

but Mr. Jeff Black i am so terribly conflicted and confused, might take days of experimentation before i know for sure..... in fact i might never be certain.

to the OP. ya friend might just see you a chance to talk about a subject straight menfolk would be a bit unnerved or squicked by. he could be gay, could be bi or questioning. just take his openness as a compliment and sign that your friendship is a solid one.

if you think there might be more to his talk, ask him out right about his orientation without making your interest seem like a come on. the problem with hitting on friends *where ever they fall on the spectrum* is the possibility of losing him as a friend.

i now return to gaying out with Jeff Black. full on lisping-mincing-showtuning-BBFing with Dorthy-gaying out.

how's next weekend look for you?

You're joking, right? :biggrin1:

Do straight guys talk about thier cock? No

Like they might do on Oprah? Never.

OK, we joke about our cocks. Brag about them? But that's it.

I love talking about cocks, only with women though. I guess it's a great conversation piece to get them started talking about their vaginas and sex in general. It's such a taboo subject to talk about this stuff with the opposite sex and women generally enjoy the candor.

I'd never talk about it with guys present. Ever.

No, I meant "transsexual":biggrin1:

I've never heard of straight guys being repulsed by their dicks.

You're supposed to pretend it does in front of other straights to look super straight. Remember that to come across as as hyper heterosexual man, you might want to have the "I'm-a-straight-as-an-arrow-conversation":

One buddy: "There are only lipstick lesbians in my perfect world."

Other buddy: That's right, buddy, dicks are gross and ugly:eek:

I am a lipstick lesbian, though. Just ask Cigarbabe.

Maybe if we have an issue, because who else but another guy is going to understand what's going on with your penis??

We don't casually discuss our cocks though. At least I don't with my friends.

I've only known one guy that was actually repulsed by his own tool...but after knowing him it was obvious he suffered from a generalized self-loathing. As time passed, he would talk down all of his anatomy, and looks, and personality.... so obviously there were "issues".

For most straight guys, cocks are like cat buttholes. You know they exist and you ignore them.

Do straight guys talk about cock? Yeah. My best buddy is 100% straight and the topic comes up. We also talk about jerking off, nut and nipple stimulation, ass play etc...

The difference is, once we talk about, the subject's over. We've known each other since 1985, and this stuff comes up maybe once every two - three years. It tends to be swapping information only.

I already know how big his tool his, how far he shoots, if he's cut, if he continues to thrust when he busts his nut... but we had that conversation back in the Regan Administration, and once you know the facts, there's no need to bring it up again.

... Unless it makes him horny. Which it doesn't. Cause he's straight.

I doubt real world straight men talk about dicks or visit penis fetish web sites. Some straight men, I realize, might talk about frottage with their friends.

Straight porn is full of dick, but don't talk about it (shhhhh).

Each relationship/friendship seems to evolve differently based on the chemistry between the individuals and their cumulative experiences together. So what may seem like strange conversation for one friendship may be totally normal for another.

One way of looking at it: Because talking about dicks crosses some lines of privacy, he obviously feels quite at ease around you. This kind of talk may just be his way of confirming the closeness of your friendship. It could be his attempt at bonding with you (not necessarily from a gay motivation).

HOWEVER ... the fact that he is not offering up any stories about himself and his own experiences (which would also be a bonding sort of thing) might be a sign that he is just fishing for an opening with you by initiating all this talk about dicks. The fact that you are openly bi with him makes me think this is what's really going on.

I think he's sending some pretty strong signals about what's on his mind, and a bi friend like you is probably the one he feels safe with to further explore his curiosities. My guess is you'll see him move a lot further in that direction if you respond to his dick talk in some small way. Give it a try and let us know what happens.

I have straight friends who talk about their dick size, who love to grab their dicks when they are around groups of people. One in particular was at my house one night and we were drinking rum. Next thing I knew he was sitting there nodding off and like 15 minutes later I heard him say "suck my dick". I had always been curious about him cause when he was drunk he was obsessed with his dick so I wanted to see it. After the bj he did the "oh whats going on" bullshit, but since that day when we are hanging together he always gives me the look, so he enjoyed it.

I have another friend who when we were in HS and I would go back to his house and we smoked weed, he would always play with his dick in his sweats. The freaking guy would be hard as hell. Who ever knew that years later he would be blowing me off.

So you never really know if a straight friend is truly straight...
