I just looked at the podcast with David Mazouz well most of it. David was totally engaged in the interview and seemed genuinely happy to be their talking with Dylan. Dylan was engaged as well, he asked a few good questions but he seemed to be faking his way through parts of it. Like for instance he claims to be a Batman fan but he only knows the most superficial aspects of the Batman character.
It's interesting that these two became friends after the podcast. I'm looking forward to seeing the Ethan Cutkosky podcast when it's posted. Ethan hasn't done many interviews that I can see just from a google search but he's willing to give Dylan an hour or so apparently.

There is no evidence that they were open. All the evidence is that they weren't.
Besides that's not how open relationships work anyway. Open relationships have rules just like closed relationships do. No repeats, no unprotected sex with a partner other than me, no getting emotionally involved with the other person, things like that. We know Dylan did repeats with Joey Mills and perhaps Jacob. Besides what incentive do Jacob and Joey have to lie in there conversations with each other? They were clearly not friends of Jackson as they were both making fun of him for being cheated on by Dylan, even though they say they bought Dylan's lie about being open.
