You can have a surgeon play with the lips on your face, so why not the nether ones? Just like breast enlargement, reduction, or any form of cosmetic surgery, it will be right and beneficial for some people, so more power to it.

I agree with this. It's not my business, and yet...it makes me angry. Really, really angry. The reasons behind elective labiaplasty usually stem from insecurity or ignorance. Maybe if more people knew that there are many nerve endings in labia that can be pleasurable, and that the labia is akin to the scrotal skin, there would be a decrease in the demand for this surgery.

a good plastic surgeon is thorough about the consequences and implications of bodily augmentations during consultation. enough so that a person might even reconsider their motives.

either way I'm all for it! a person should be able to do what they want with their body, especially if makes them happy or improves their quality of life.

I'm all for self-improvement, and feel better when I lose 5 pounds (for example) but having THIS type of surgery seems to me that it detracts from a quality of life. It doesn't add to life the way fake boobs would.
