I think it is wrong for gay men or closeted men to use a public bathroom as their sex room. People who come in especially with children should not have to be exposed to someone with a hard-on at the urinal cruising for guys, or people in the stalls tapping others feet.

I think the cruising part is the illegal part. I think when you actually agree to do something in the public bathroom that becomes the crime.

As far as entrapment. The show to Catch a Predator is entrapment and it is the thought police. As bad as their intentions were they did not chat or have sex with an underage person. I really don't care that much about it, as those guys are scum and they would have had sex if they could. Also, many of them would not have gone if they were not lured and enticed to go there.

As far as the Senator goes he is a troll (not in internet terms). He should have realized that once someone saw him that no one would want to have sex with him.

And he should have known that as much as his face as a senator is in the news that someone might recognize him.

I agree with you Mem about your assessment that publc restrooms are not the place for sex, period. My point is that public restrooms would be cleaner and safer if the police were uniformed and made very often random visits to all the restrooms. All that normally would need is 15 seconds in the restroom to know that nothing illegal is going on instead of sitting on the john for hours waitng for someone to sit in the next stall and make a move.

In no way am I taking up for the Senator, but did any sexual activity happen other than the foot under the stall and the hand under the stall? That in itself is not lewd conduct. It would seem that the police should let it go a bit further. No blow jobs, but at least get to the point where pants are down and dick is through the hole and the Senator has gotten on his knees and getting ready to do the deed. I would think that just before there is actual contact is when the police should then arrest the Senator.

We all know what those signs mean now. But the signs in themselves aren't lewd.

Senator Craig is a tragic mess and he's about to resign. If he were Mr. Craig, I would truly feel sorry for him. But the Senator is such an f--ing hypocrite, I just don't. He hurts people with his hypocrisy.

The footsie stuff may not have held up in court. I'm not even sure how sending signals is a crime. But he plead guilty, he didn't fight it. He risked exposure either way. His judgement is sorely lacking. And his thinking that this wouldn't get out is delusional.

I hope Sen Craig is on suicide watch, I think he's at a very high risk right now. He's in the NRA. He owns guns. He's being kicked out of a very powerful, exclusive club. His friends have abandoned him. People are laughing at him. And something he (wrongly) felt was so disgraceful and shameful is front page news around the world.

I think the undercover cop should be arresting a fucking gang banger or stopping a speeding car. Who cares if two guys hook up. Though, if they meet in public they should move to private for anything physical. I really think some..not all...but some..really just prefer this duty because it is a safe way to ligit bigotry plus a few even get off on it. I mean what would you prefer doing jacking of on the clock or getting shot at by a gang. On the hole this is waste of time...of cousre this is talking about adult to adult contact

My brother was in a restroom about 10 years ago and hooked up with a hot guy.
