Ok so as of late, I haven't been able to get fully hard, no morning wood or spontaneous erections. I can get it up and and cum but its nothing close to full hardness. I only jack off like once a day and i went all of last week without touching myself at all, nothing changed cept i came alot more and alot quicker. I casually asked my guy friends about this and they said the always have morning boners (ive stay with them and seen them every morning no lie) alway get fully hard when the jerk off and have spontaneous erections quite often. So i went to the doctor (3 actually) and they all basically took it as kinda a joke and told me they couldn't help me cause i was too young to have those issues (i just turned 20). I had some blood work done a while back so i dont think its anything like that, and ya im a tad bit stressed but im a stressful person its never been a issue before and I've been stressed alot worse than i am now...Im still horny as heck, just cant seem to get that rock hard like i used too...any help would be fantastic I'm at my wits end!

P.s If this looks familiar its is, I made a critical error on my part earlier lol

I am in the exact same situation as you. I am 21, and it is not easy for me to get a rock hard on unless I am with my girlfriend, and even then I can't maintain it for much long. In fact, I lose my erection within seconds of stopping stimulation. E.g. If I want to measure or take a picture, I let go, get the camera, and there, I have moved back to a semi.

I have been doing a balanced diet, gyming a bit, drinking lots of water, staying healthy, keep relaxed, let go of all stress, even tried some Yoga, and must say, it has helped a bit. But not enough to clear my concerns. I really don't want to go into the drug alternative, so I will be watching this thread closely.

And, yes, it seems to have nothing to do with horniness.

Guys, this really makes me mad.

Erectile dysfunction can happen at any age and it is nothing to laugh at or blow off because it can have numerous causes. Make dead certain that both of you keep the names and addresses on file for the lawsuit you might have against them in the future for ignoring this situation.

I am going to make the assumption that you have both had the standard blood tests to eliminate the standard causes. Erratic blood sugar that is not diabetes can sometimes be missed, You need a test called an 8-hour fasting blood sugar to really make dead certain on that one. The test itself is a rough one, but, it will get answers and also diagnose hypoglycemia which is the opposite of diabetes. That can also effect your noodle.

High blood pressure and high cholesterol are also factors that may contribute at a young age. 90% of all individuals with high cholesterol do not develop this as they age. Most with it (myself included) had this condition when they were in their early teens.

Accidents or injury at a younger age can also play a role. Mine was compounded by a horseback riding incident when I was in HS. In my cases I was bucked into a saddle horn and the word painful does not apply. It was far beyond that. The animal in question was innocent it was just one of those things that can happen with a horse.

The problem that both of you face is that this is not something that Medical Insurance Providers care about. They will make your diagnosis and treatment as difficult as possible simply because they do not want to spend money.

The solution guys is sadly very expensive. Initially you may be able to get away with oral ED medications. Viagra (Sildenafil) Levitra (Vardenafil) and Cialis (Taldenafil) can be beneficial in early stage treament of this condition. If you indeed do have it, it will eventually progress. This does not mean that you lose your love life, it simply means that the treament must progress as well.

The next thing is the use of a transurethral pellet. The trade name on this one is Muse, but the active ingredient is plain old Sildenafil which is a local application of Viagra. This is to about 25% of the men who use it troublesome in that it can be a urethral irritant. A small applicator device is used to place a tiny capsule of the drug up inside the urethra. You then break that pellet and the drug then gets into the areas not functioning properly.

Muse for reasons unclear is the most expensive method period.

As horrible as it sounds if the pills do not work, the best and most simple method is to use injection therapy. This takes an expert who does this kind of thing on a regular basis. Most common MD's can write a Rx for this stuff, but, get the dosage wrong and you are in danger of two things, either it wount work and you'll have a really expensive custom mixed Rx that you can't use, OR you will get something way too strong.

Diagnosis of this takes several tests using ultra sound devices and what is a form of doppler sonar. In both cases the MD's trained specifically in this will check the function and circulation into your penis. This is easily done and takes a very short time.

The problem is that this again is NOT covered by insurance and is very expensive. The only one off the bat that is competent (not always but as a general rule) is a chain of clinics called Boston Medical. This and prevention of premature ejaculation are the only things they do.

Boston Medical is Worldwide. There are more than 150 clinics so finding them is not all that difficult. Texas has several and most major population centers have them as well. Google their website and get the information.

I have a very competent MD myself in Southern California who would have been capable of doing this, but, I was unable to make an appointment with him at the time because he had taken a very well deserved extended vacation (bad timing on his or my part)

Boston Medical cost me $2,500 for the exams, testing and one years worth of injectable medication and this was out of pocket. It instantly FIXED the problem.

Guys, as horrible as it sounds to use the injectable and a syringe for an erection, it is really not that bad at all. The nerves in that portion of the body are not as a rule really all that sensitive for this particular kind of pain. A device is used. You place the device in a proper location at about either 11 or 2 o clock on your penis which aims the needle into the "erectile chambers". The device fires the needle and you then simply push the plunger on the syringe to inject the medication. The "erectile chambers" in and of themselves have no pain receptors so the only thing you really feel is a small poke on the surface skin. That is it.

Document your denials very carefully. Your young ages are NOT anything other than a couple of MD's who do not want to be bothered. They are also questionable in other ways because if they do not take your complaints seriously they could be ignoring other medical conditions which may be at fault that could be a danger to your health. Sexual health is often a marker to other things.

The main thing is to find an MD who takes your complaint seriously. This is NOT something that is age realted. I spent a great deal of time with MD's in my life as the stepson of one. Any MD who does not automatically take you seriously until testing is done is an idiot and quack.

If you want more detailed information or have questions do not hesitate to PM me.

Hey guys, one of the things you can try is to do jelqing and Kegel exercises. Both of those help if you are willing to put in the time doing it. You wouldn't have to do a lot lf jelqing (like you would if you were trying to grow your unit) but it can really help get the blood flowing, if done properly (Don't do it fully hard) There are a lot of posts on here and elsewhere on the web about both of those. Try those for 6 weeks and see if you start to see some improvement.

Thanks Fuzzyken for the great post, very insightful. Right now, I am hoping it is something that will blow over with a healthy lifestyle. I can sure feel it getting better. If not that is some helpful advise, thanks.

If it can't be attributted to stress/anxiety, you really may have to see a doctor. ED can be a sympton that there is something wrong with your arteries/blood circulation. You could have blockage in the veins in your cock preventing it from getting erect. In older men, ED can be a sign of heart problems. If you are young, healthy guys who live a healthy lifestyle, you need to figure out if the cause is pyschological or physical.

I think we need to slow down here, an digest what HairyTX has said in his post.

ya im a tad bit stressed but im a stressful person its never been a issue before and I've been stressed alot worse than i am now...

It is unusual for a guy of 20 to have ED problems, particulary if all his blood tests are normal. He does state that he is normally a stressful person and that he is a tad stressed, which is over and above his normal stress levels. If he starts to worry even more when he starts to stress even more because he is unable to obtain or sustain and ercection. In addition the stress of finding a doctor who is willing to listen, to me is more than enough to set this vicious down turning spiral of problems. Thereby making his problem worse instead of better.

Hairy TX I suggest you try a very simple but very effective self test. The simple test is known as the postage stamp test. You need a strip of postage stamps (the ones with the perforations) as you get yourself ready for bed, mositen and wrap a strip of postage stamps around your soft (flaccid) penis. Then go to bed as normal do not attempt to masturbate or anything. In the morning when you wake up if the perforations have torn apart then you know you have had a perfectly normal erection during your sleep. If not then see your doctor at tell him what you did. Personally I think you will find that you will have had an erecton, so then you can stope worring knowing everything is fuctioning as it should. and it is all down to the stres your going through, at this time.

If you cannot get perorated stamps then a narrow strip of gummed paper tape. Run it through your mums sewing machine, thereby creating your own perforations. Will do the same job.

Good luck with this I am sure you will be fine. Do keep us posted we are all here to help and support each other. Good Luck my friend

Ya, Stress is a major, yet unfortunate, part of my life heck my mother just threaten to kick me out last night... :dead1:

You know i thought about the stamp test a couple nights ago, but wouldn't that not really work since i do get a erection is just doesn't last long and isnt as hard as it should be?

    Hello Hairy TX,

Really to hear your going through a hard time at home, it certainly cant be easy for you right now. It does sound, from what you say you say, that stress does appear to be the cause of you ED. Having said that my words don't help the way you feel, but speaking from personal experience I do know that stress can cause the problems your experiencing, maybe you should consider counselling to help you deal with your other personal problems, once you have resolved those your ED may sort itseld out. The main thing is to try not to worry, easier said than done I know.

    Keep in touch

    Take care and good luck

it's seasonal. Humans internal clocks tick to many forces outside our brains.
Give it some time and enjoy the softer moments (so to speak) in life too.
You'll be stabbing holes in your mattress again.
