In Ethan’s situation……OF has to be better than shoveling shit on his Dads farm in Bumfuck Nowhere, Indiana, especially as it would appear he’s never had a job since he graduated university, and he’s no longer holding Marks light meter.

Ethan is an example of someone who is approaching a point in his life where being an instathot or YouTuber is increasingly unrealistic. As he gets older, social media will not provide the same levels of income that it did when he was younger, because his audience will invariably grow up and move on. Since he graduated university he has not gained any experience in any meaningful long term occupation. Very few social media influencers make it into a long term career. Mark may be one of the few as it appears he is a talented photographer and videographer. Ethan is not. Maybe this is why he has decided to start OF. But even this has its limits.

Anyway, he's only 27. Not old at all. The great thing about this generation is that you can rebrand yourself into anything you want to be every few months and the possibilities are limitless. Maybe he didn't want to do anything with film making anymore, and that's totally fine (although, I think his YouTube videos are very well edited). Who cares. From what I can tell is that he's not some shitty person, which is what really matters. We should stop trying to pigeonhole someone else based on our own ideas of who we think they are or who they should be.
