When my company put in its first netweorked computer, I was one of the trial users. The IT Manager (this was so long ago that I think he was even called an EDP Manager) asked me for a password. I walked up to the bookshelf, grabbed the Oxford Dictionary of New Words 1989 Edition, and opened it at random. The word I landed on was headbanger. "Hmmm..." he said, "eight letters max. It will need to be headang." And one way or another, it has been ever since. I added the eight because many places one needs at least one number and one letter. 8 is lucky in Chinese.

I added the avatar because Ashlar once declared me his personal tiki god. As I said at the time, I may not be the biggest kahuna, but my coconuts are definitely ooga-booga.
