Do you mean from back in the 1950's with the Lavender Scare or just a gay love story in general? I can't think of anything set in the 1950's, but there are movies and tv shows that deal with the AIDS crisis and beyond.

Longtime Companion -- 1989 film
The Normal Heart -- play and 2014 TV movie
Call Me by Your Name -- 2017 film
Looking -- HBO series

I'm sure there are many more, but these are a few that came to mind.

Yeah what kind of thing are you looking for. This series touched on so many themes, which I think is one of its strengths. I actually spend more time watching queer films than I do porn and I could come maybe help with some recommendations.
