I was going to say the same thing, Indy...
He certainly is not the same Franco Corelli that I remember as a child when I woud
super (supernumerary) with the Met in NYC and in Atlanta. He was very handsome,
an awesome tenor, and the one time I heard he and Callas together...they were not
to be believed. My favorite of him in Turando...ahhhh...great voice! I remember
backstage he was always very nervous, would throw up, always complaining of
headaches, and had a pink miniture poodle and a very domineering wife...
But, what a singer!
