Gay Celebrities in the Closet

Well, not about his sexuality that I've heard. Plenty of rumors about him being an alcoholic and lots of drunken behavior, but then again he's an Irish actor so they're hardly going to stop the presses over that!
Ppl think he's gay because of velvet goldmine but no he's happily married with kids and lives in cali. Also a church going man. But he's been sober for quite some time.

I think all British actors have been bisexual since the Elizabethan period, right ?
Including Shakespeare himself, apparently (he was an actor before he was a writer, and he was decently famous for that, and that's what he wanted to be remembered for, iirc).

The other, sort of adjacent, thing which people don't always get is just how gay high society was in the early to mid 20th century. I've been reading the diaries of Henry Channon, who was a (bisexual) socialite and MP, and it shows just how much queer was around.

There’s actually very little known about Shakespeare despite him being among the most studied men in the Anglosohere over the past 400 years. There’s some rumors that he was gay/bi or just a philanderer because he just left his wife for 20 years and she was older.

And all of those sonnets for Mr WH ... greatest gay love poems in history.

Yeah, A string of words slung together that sort of don't really mean anything If I'm being honest :joy:

It's like this line "Maybe I’ll have an awakening later in my life, which I’m sure will be wonderful and I’ll get to explore that part of the garden, but right now I’m secluded to my area, which is wonderful as well. I adore it.”

Basically like a similar quote Josh Hutcherson said once before that made some people inaccurately think he was bi too.
In reality this just makes them seem like actual hets just looking for crumbs of approval as "open minded allies" or whatever. A bit cringey to me tbh lol but I'm sure they mean well I guess.

Pretty positive Andrew is gay or bisexual. Be serious, majority of heterosexual men don't "pander" or care for LGBTQ culture, even if he's an ally or not. What "straight" man says "I'm a gay man without the physical act" that's more than pandering, that's a confession.

Also, Hollywood is still borderline homophobic. Yeah, there's actors who are out but top actors are most likely not because there's a lot at stake. Their agents, agencies, movies, studios, etc. would lose out on a ton of money and bring a level of attention they don't want.

Maybe for Joe Average, but we're talking about people with a lot of popularity and a big audience. Anyways, nothing Andrew has said means he's necessarily queer

i think andrew is probably on the lower end of the kinsey scale. probably a heteroromantic bisexual, with a very high interest for women, but still a bit of an interest for men. meaning he might get his dick sucked by a dude, but he's only ever gonna date women
