Just wondering what the style is these days, although i am now 40, hairy and quite beefy, run of the mill type of guy, i seem to notice that my age seems to be very old in gay years. Most guys seem to be into the skinny feminine young smooth guys (no wish to categorise or offend anyone) Just wondered what type and age you guys go for these days .

BTW, i know im a hunk :biggrin1: lol

Dude, there honestly IS no one style these days. Oh yeah, you can buy into the stereotypes that get pumped in the mags these days but even they have a hard time honing in on only one type of guy. TBH, I've found as long as you're confident, dress the way that makes you look sexy and be healthy, that you'll be attractive to some guy that YOU also like.

Not everyone likes the extremely slender guys, though I've found a few kinda hot. But I'm not one to ask really: I'm kind of a slut and pretty much appreciate a man for just being a man. Probably comes from NOT being 17 years old anymore! LOL

Oh, and fistbottom, call me! :)

I prefer grown up, beefy, hairy, masculine men. I have zero time for 'men' who use phrases like, "I'm bored", "I only go to the clubs", "I just watch TV," or "What?! Go camping without a shower or toilets? No way". I want a man who can keep up with my outdoor adventures and be able to play later.

My kinda guy! Taking any applications???

LIKES:
Age-wise, I generally go for guys who are a bit younger than I (in their 20's or 30's). The odd guy slightly younger or slightly older can sometimes work too tho.
Body-wise, I go for taller than me and generally slim/athletic built. All chest hair, stomach hair, balls hair & pubes intact, please.

DISLIKES:
* Tattoos (tho I can toletate them in small doses). If You have a nice body, don't cover that beautiful skin with ink.
* Shaved body hair (see above).
* Gray hair. God created Loving Care, Just For Men, Miss Clairol, etc. for a reason.
* Steroid/muscle bodies. Gym-bod is nice, but don't over do it. As long as the stomach is flat and the guy is in reasonably good shape - that works. Sorry, but third-trimester-of-pregnancy guts are a major turn-off.

i tend to go 4 the bit older guys body hair and bit camp love camp guys lol

I'm in my 30s and like men in the 30 - 45 range that look like men. So I find hairy, beefy, and masculine men the most attractive. I also have a weakness for salt and pepper hair. Confidence is most attractive.

Who cares what's in fashion? (Style is something else entirely!)

What's between a man's ears is what attracts me. I do have a preference for certain "types," but that's WAY down on my list. Age, hair color, height, weight, race... none of that is nearly as important as intelligent, witty, and well-read. Good conversation gets me hot!

Currently the pendulum has swung away from the muscle jock adonis or smooth twink to a wide variety of everyday guy looks. I think there is a backlash against the slickly produced porn of the last 20 years. There is something for everyone. You might find the following links interesting. Maybe as a 40ish guy with a few extra pounds you will be into the whole bear thing.

This should have been a poll!
We are entering the age when a heck of a lot of men are over age 40 and that is a damn good thing, IMO!
I prefer men over the age of 40. A mature man is a greater turn on physically, emotionally, and just about every other way. I am attracted to men with large (possibly muscular) forearms. When the shirt comes off, I prefer medium chest hair with a fully developed Treasure Trail and ample belly hair. I don't care for kids, blondes, twinks, smooth. I also don't care for a guy who is so far out of shape he can't see his own dick when he stands up.

Exactly. Not everyone is exclusively attracted to younger, leaner men. I'm not.

I think that what is in the inside counts as much as the outside. Self confidence, nice demeanor and a good sense of humor are definitely sexy to me, regardless of age.

IMHO, the gay world is no different than the straight world...youth and sex appeal sell! However, we are all attracted to different kinds of characteristics. I have found 20 year olds attractive and have seen some sexy 50 year olds, I have been attracted to muscleheads as well as I haven't ever been in a gym ever types. My point is--I don't have a "preference" for one type of look...I would certainly miss out on a lot of fun and meeting great people if I did.
